Can I trust Priceline? The short answer is: Yes, you can. Priceline launched in 1998 with the ability to book otherwise empty airline seats. Since then, it's grown to include hotels, rental cars and cruises, and the website hosts millions of visitors each month.
Priceline will work with you in resolving your concerns. Priceline retains the right to dispute any chargeback that it believes is improper, as described more fully below. Priceline also retains the right to cancel any travel reservation in the event of a chargeback related to that reservation.
You can usually cancel a flight online, and many carriers let you get a refund in some capacity. For the most part, if you book a nonrefundable fare — the most common fare type — you'll receive a credit or voucher for a future flight.
According to the DGCA website, the airline should give a full refund of the amount or an alternative flight if it informs the passengers about the flight cancellation less than two weeks before the flight's departure but at least 24 hours before the time of departure.
Although every airline has a different policy, many airlines will allow you to cancel flight tickets within 24 hours and give you a refund, even if you've bought a non-refundable airline ticket. If you've bought an airline ticket and want to cancel it on the same day, you can do so easily via 'Manage my booking'.
Express Deals-Priceline deals, in which the full itinerary is revealed only after you book, are non-changeable and non-refundable. Other reservations may be more flexible. You can view your flight's fare rules on the contract before you book, and on your itinerary after you book.
Refunds for Canceled or Changed Flights
If the flight for which you bought a non-refundable ticket is canceled or changed by an airline, you're entitled to a refund. If canceled, the airline may attempt to book you on another flight but you may request a refund instead.

The 24-hour rule is a regulation from the US Department of Transportation that says airlines must offer either free 24-hour price hold (so you can lock in the price and purchase within 24 hours) or free cancellation for 24 hours.
If you've cancelled your flight booking, then cancellation fees may apply. Refer to the tables for a guide on what these fees may be. Note: all fees are charged per person, per booking. If any fare is combined with another fare, the most restrictive conditions apply.
If you purchased a round-trip flight and need to change the first leg to a different day, your best bet will likely be to pay the change fee and book a new flight. If you only need to change the return portion of a round trip, however, it may be cheaper to book a new one-way flight than to pay the cancellation fee.
