On average, introverts and extroverts are the same in terms of intelligence. But statistics show that around 70% of gifted people are introverts. People are considered “gifted” when they exhibit above-average intelligence or a superior talent for something, such as music, art or math.
Quiet people are natural learners, and they have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Their curiosity draws them to learning as much as they can. Just because they're quiet doesn't mean they're antisocial; they just prefer to expand their minds more than they like to open their mouths.
Roddy Ricch Quotes. Usually, the loudest in the room is the weakes. The quietest man in the room, who is being very observant, is the smartest and the strongest.
However, our research at Bandelli & Associates has found that introverts often possess greater levels of Relational Intelligence than extroverts do. Relationally intelligent introverts are often highly self-aware, observant, and are excellent listeners.
You're an introvert.
It gets better. As an adult, you now leverage your strength for processing, contemplating and thinking things over, which is a trait of highly intelligent people. In fact, more than 75 percent of people with an IQ above 160 are introverted.
Loners are smart.
Loners spend less time with others and more time on their own learning and pursuing their own interests. The Washington Post spoke with Carol Graham, a Brookings Institute researcher who studies the economics of happiness, about the fact that smarter people spend more time alone.
Quiet people are more likely to be introverts than extroverts and tend to be more creative and sensitive than the average person. They also tend to be private people who don't like being in large crowds or socializing much at all unless it's necessary for work or school.
Quiet people are more than just shy; they're often introverted too. Quiet people are often introverted. Quiet people are often shy, self-conscious, and private. Quiet people also tend to be reserved, thoughtful and nonconfrontational because they don't like to start arguments or get into conflicts with others.
Abraham Lincoln said, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." I'm not suggesting you remain silent all the time. But it's all too easy to speak thoughtlessly, with insufficient information, or out of a wrong assumption.
They are gentle and easy-going.
Are introverts attractive? Yes, and their gentle personality is one of those reasons. Introverts appeal to people because they're easy to be around. Even though it's a common misconception that they're stuck up, their aura is indeed welcoming.
What Is an Introvert? An introvert is a person with qualities of a personality type known as introversion, which means that they feel more comfortable focusing on their inner thoughts and ideas, rather than what's happening externally.
Introverts tend to be more prone to overthinking than extroverts, but it's possible for anyone to fall into this trap. Being an introvert means you have a tendency towards self-reflection that can take its toll if you're not careful.
Shy people don't think they're more important than others
But it is a trait that most of us find very likable and attractive in others. In fact, psychologists have consistently found that both men and women rate humility as one of the most desirable traits in a partner.
Most psychologists indicate that it depends on the situation. When silence, or, rather, the refusal to engage in a conversation, is used as a control tactic to exert power in a relationship, then it becomes "the silent treatment," which is toxic, unhealthy, and abusive.
With all of the constant noise you hear on a day-to-day basis, embracing silence can help stimulate your brain and help you process information. It can also help you become more self-aware and relieve stress. Embracing silence may also help you settle into the present moment and quiet any racing thoughts.
Their objectivity and the ability to be less likely to be affected by certain emotional cues make an introvert to appear intimidating to other people and make them likely to be manipulated or swayed.
Introverts are loyal and devoted friends.
People are attracted to loyal and devoted people. While introverts may not always realize it, this is a trait most people find attractive in them. Their loyalty isn't just attractive to the recipients of that devotion, but to anyone who observes them.
Quiet people are either anxious or rude:
Shyness/Social Anxiety (you want to join the conversation but you fear making yourself a social outcast by saying something stupid) Intimidation (you're intimidated by the people around you, and shrink back because you don't feel worthy)
Because of all those society-imposed role models, people who are quiet often feel not good enough. They are not assertive, outgoing, and dynamic enough. In reality, though, nothing is wrong with being a quiet person. Introversion is an innate personality trait that doesn't need to be fixed or changed.
Studies have also shown that spending more time with people and socialising is an indicator of higher intelligence. Studies show that smarter people are happier when they are alone, unlike most of people who are happier with friends and family.
The Intentional Negative Loner
These people have chosen to be alone because they dislike other people or have strong anti-social tendencies. They have negative outlooks on society and prefer not to associate or assimilate with others. These can be a beginning sign of an antisocial personality disorder.
Although being intelligent — both in a traditional sense and an emotional one — can make life easier in many ways, it can also make life much lonelier.
