Official Description: "Silver Lynels are not to be trifled with. The Demon King's fiendish magic has made them the strongest of the Lynel species, beyond even the deadly white-maned variety. Their powerful horns can slice through almost anything.
Golden Lynels are the strongest variety of Lynel, with 7500 HP, and are generally considered the strongest of the non-boss enemies. Just like White-Maned Lynels and Silver Lynels, these carry the strongest Lynel gear (Savage Lynel Sword, Savage Lynel Bow and Savage Lynel Shield).
Usually mistaken as a White-Maned Lynel, despite the color pattern on the silver one being inverted from the White-Maned Lynel. As Link progresses through the game, many of the Lynels across Hyrule will be upgraded to the Silver kind.
White-Maned Lynel - This variation of the Lynel has a white mane (hence the name) and sports 4,000 HP. Silver Lynel - This Lynel is almost all white and silver. It has 6,000 HP, but drops all gem types (except Luminous Stone) along with the usual remains of a Lynel (hooves, horns, guts).
What is the easiest Lynel to fight? The weakest Lynel type scattered across Hyrule, the Red-Maned Lynel is still no laughing matter. Any player who finds even a Red-Maned Lynel before stocking up on good weapons and armor is in for a nasty surprise.
The Silver-Maned Lynels are the most difficult Lynel type that Link will have to face in a player's first run-through of Breath of the Wild. Unfortunately, they still drop the Savage Lynel gear, so players hoping to find even better weapons will be disappointed.
Lynel become easier with technique, hearts and armor and the divine beasts were designed to beat before you go exploring too much and fight lynels. In my opinion getting the rewards from divine beasts helps you combat lynels more effectively.
They're among the most difficult enemies you'll encounter in Hyrule. Learn where to find Blue-Maned Lynels, what materials they drop for weapon fusions, and tips for fighting them in TotK with this monster guide. Official Description: "These fearsome monsters have lived in Hyrule since ancient times.
Savage Lynel Crusher (78)
As far as we know this monster has the single largest damage value of any weapon in the game. Again, the only way to get it is is to take down a Silver-maned Lynel. We found a crusher-carrying Lynel just south of the Tabantha Great Bridge.
All Lynels are also impervious to elemental damage, and are not stunned by normal electrical attacks, but will usually stop at their tracks if there's fire in their path.
When you've defeated enough other enemies, 19 of the 23 Lynels will become Gold in Master Mode. The exceptions are the Lynels at the First and Second Gatehouse in Hyrule castle, Ploymous, and the Great Plateau — these Lynels never become Gold.
For a Lynel, it's main weak spot is in the face, and hitting one with an arrow at the right time will stun it for a few seconds, similarly to Hinox and Stallnox, though for less time.
The Master Sword is a good choice. Creating distance between you and the Lynel may invite it to show off its archery skills and you'd better believe they are pinpoint accurate.
The different mini-bosses Link has to face are Thunderblight Ganon, Fireblight Ganon, Waterblight Ganon, and Windblight Ganon. Each one is located in a different Divine Beast and while none of them are easy, Thunderblight Ganon is definitely the toughest. He flies around and shocks Link.
Lynels are not inherently evil, but they do respect shows of force, and can be persuaded to follow evil masters that are sufficiently domineering. Lynels vary in color. Most are predominately brown with red manes, fetlocks and tails.
Update: It is impossible sadly...
If you see one, get away as fast as you can." Golden Lynels are found exclusively in Master Mode, and have more health than their silver counterparts (7500 HP).
The easiest and most effective way to defeat a Lynel is to use an ancient arrow, these arrows can be found in different chests across Hyrule, or you can craft a dozen at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.
But as for Lynel Hoof, it is guaranteed to drop when killing any of the following Lynels: Red Maned Lynel. Blue Maned Lynel. White Maned Lynel.
The Lynels are usually thought of as the hardest mini-bosses in the game, and for good reason.
Considering these Lynels are found in the Dark World, it can be assumed that they were created by Ganon himself to be part of his army when invading the Light World.
What's more, each Lynel is more powerful than the last. You start with a Red-Maned Lynel, then a Blue-Maned Lynel, then on to a White-Maned Lynel. The fourth Lynel is a Silver Lynel, the most powerful variant. If you manage to take it down, your next challenge is another Silver Lynel, but this one is armoured.
