The screen on the iPhone 14 Plus is larger than the screen on the iPhone 13, but overall, these two displays share many of the same specs. The iPhone 14 Plus screen measures 6.7 inches with a resolution of 2778 x 1284, and the iPhone 13 screen measures 6.1 inches with a resolution of 2532 x 1170.
The 6.1-inch screen size of both phones is exactly the same, however, the frame of the new model is just slightly thicker which, unfortunately, means that cases for the iPhone 13 can't be re-used on the iPhone 14.
The lone difference between the chip that powers either model is the iPhone 14's processor has one more GPU core than the iPhone 13. That results in boosted graphics performance (and some slightly higher scores on our benchmark tests), but in everyday use the difference is negligible.
Packing a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 2778 x 1284 resolution, the iPhone 14 Plus is the same size as the Pro Max, but with a much lighter body (203 grams vs 240 grams).
Size. The iPhone 14 Plus is larger and heavier than the iPhone 12. The iPhone 14 Plus measures 6.33” (H) x 3.07” (W) x 0.31” (D) and weighs 7.16 ounces. In comparison, the iPhone 12 measures 5.78” (H) x 2.82” (W) x 0.29” (D) and weighs 5.78 ounces.
The Plus is just... big. The iPhone 14 has a 6.1-inch screen, while the Plus has a 6.7-incher. These are stretched out in the 19.5:9 aspect ratio and mirror the shape and proportions of an iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 lineup introduces new features such as car-crash detection, the removal of the physical SIM card for US phones, and enhanced cameras on the rear and front. Despite those changes, iPhone 14 isn't different enough to justify upgrading from the iPhone 13.
The big difference between the two iPhones is the improved camera capabilities in the iPhone 14, which include better (faster) low light photography and the Action Mode. The Action Mode is definitely the marquee feature and one many people are likely to use, unlike the Cinematic Mode that arrived with the iPhone 13.
But it is still an upgrade: the cameras are slightly improved particularly round the front, while it performed faster than the iPhone 13 in our tests. We wouldn't recommend upgrading from the 13 to 14, but if you're on an older model it's a fine choice that won't let you down.
Hence, if you are opting for an iPhone for the first time and have the money to spare, consider the iPhone 14 by all means for its camera enhancements and safety features. But if you are already using an iPhone 12 or an iPhone 13, buying the iPhone 14 will feel like a waste of money.
Sizes range from 0-2 (extra small) to 14-16 (extra large). Smaller sizes are usually petites, and larger sizes usually found in women's or plus size departments.
One of the reasons that makes this device so viable in 2023 is the processor it features. All variants of the 13th generation iPhone come with the A15 Bionic chip. The Pro and Pro Max variants step up the performance with an extra core over the non-Pro variants.
The iPhone 14 has a 5-core GPU (same as the iPhone 13 Pro), while the iPhone 13 has a 4-core GPU. With this power, iPhone 14 has a stronger performance and a longer battery life. Both iPhone have storage available up to 512 GB.
The iPhone 14 comes with longer battery life as compared to the iPhone 13 and Apple has also equipped the iPhone 14 with its new Crash Detection feature which calls for help if it detects that the user is involved in an accident.
The two devices are quite literally identical except for their sizes. So if you prefer the 6.1-inch size, go for the iPhone 14. If you'd rather carry a 6.7-inch smartphone, then the iPhone 14 Plus is the one to pick. Just note that a larger screen makes for a heavier phone.
Apple is getting ready to introduce the iPhone 15 family and roughly one month and a half ahead of the expected official announcement in September 2023, we now have plenty of leaks and rumors that have revealed a lot about the new iPhones.
Although the camera and battery upgrades are significant on the iPhone 14, the lack of new features like the Dynamic Island and ProMotion display decrease the appeal, especially at its hefty price point. Performance remains similar and unless you're an extremely heavy user, you won't be able to tell much difference.
iPhone 14 Plus Is The Least Popular Model Out Of Apple's Current Lineup, But It Continues To Outsell The iPhone 13 mini By 59 Percent.
The iPhone 14 Plus display has rounded corners that follow a beautiful curved design, and these corners are within a standard rectangle. When measured as a standard rectangular shape, the screen is 6.68 inches diagonally (actual viewable area is less). Both models: HDR display.
There's the iPhone 14 Plus ($899+) and the iPhone 14 Pro Max ($1,099+). In terms of size, the two are basically identical — both have 6.7" displays, which are considerably bigger than the 6.1" displays of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro — but the iPhone 14 Plus is definitely the more budget-friendly option.
