There was some blood, but nothing excessive, and no screaming or dying women and children or anything we felt would really trouble our son, so we allowed it at age 8. We give our rating at 10+, though, because he is a very mature child for 8.

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever you can expect to see some heavy violence, intense battle scenes, close up deaths, mature topics and themes, and emotional scenes of grief. To sum it up, Wakanda Forever is not kid friendly for young children, especially with a runtime of 2 hours and 41 minutes.

Captain America: The First Avenger is a classic good vs evil action adventure story. It's based on a Marvel Comics character. It contains violent and disturbing scenes that make it unsuitable for younger children and teenagers.
Begins with off-camera death of King T'Challa. Another death is particularly emotional later in the movie. Lots of intense action violence, chases, and hand-to-hand and weapons-based fights, including spears, water bombs, guns. People are drowned, shot, speared.

It has been given a 12A certificate in the UK, which equates to a PG-13 certification in North America. There was already a lot to take from the age rating for the first film.
Both the circumstances of Boseman's death and the plot of Wakanda Forever make it a heartbreaking story. Shuri's character development and Wakanda's mourning of their Black Panther pulled on fans' heartstrings.
A significant amount of Black Panther's praise stems from its race- and gender-conscious casting and costuming. It boasts the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first Black director, Ryan Coogler; an almost entirely Black lead cast; and a number of Black women in powerful and engaging roles.
Once your toddler turns 2, up to one hour of screen time use is OK, but parents should watch with their children to help them understand what they are viewing. So, given that movies range from an hour and a half to two hours long, they should be the rare exception, not the rule, on your toddler's list of activities.
