The strong performances in teen romance 'Five Feet Apart' can't redeem a cliched plot. Age Appropriate For: 14+.
In addition to the violent and distressing scenes mentioned above, Five Feet Apart has some scenes that could scare or disturb children aged 5-8 years.
Not very unique, but still Ok for kids aged 9-14. Around 12 years is perfect due to language and some scares. Parents should know that this teen murder mystery isn't really unique in a way, but it's still fun, enjoyable, and has a great ending. There's some violence that isn't very strong/or terrifying.
While 15 to 20 minutes is the recommended amount of reading, it is important to note that, if your child is interested in and enjoying what she is reading, it is fine to encourage more time. However, we do not want children to become too tired.
First, let's talk about the TV-MA rating of the series. MA stands for mature audiences. This rating means a show is unsuitable for anyone under the age of 17. According to Common Sense Media, the film graphically portrays bullying, rape, sexual assault, and suicide.
This book was really good and I totally recommend it. Most people say it's for 13+ but I don't think so. Yes, it may have some curse words but kids over the age of 11 can also read it.
Oda Anderberg It is in the gay and lesbian section as one of the character in the book (Poe) is gay. I believe that is the reason. Tiffany Probably because one of the characters in the book is gay.
Five Feet Apart certainly made me cry. A lot. But it also made me laugh, and not always on purpose. There's one would-be sexy scene in particular, involving a pool cue and bare skin that elicit full-throated chuckles in the screening room.
Everything, Everything is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for thematic elements and brief sensuality.
The reader can really feel the emotions of the characters and this is why the book is so gripping. You're so engrossed in the story that you must know how it ends, with the hope that Stella and Will can conquer anything. This book is touching and definitely worth reading.
I would recommend this book to others because the book tells you that just because you might be different you can still find love. This book is a good romance novel that takes two people that think that they don't have anything in common to them falling in love.
I would recommend Tall Girl 2 for kids ages 10 and up. Younger kids, especially those with older siblings, would also be fine; it's just a question if the material would interest them. Parents should be aware of dating talk and relationships as well as sensitivity towards those who suffer from anxiety in Tall Girl 2.
Content Notes for One of Us is Lying
Recommended for Ages 14 up. Bronwyn and her sister are half-Latino. One character comes out as gay midway through the story. Extreme profanity used with moderate frequency.
A pair of teenagers with cystic fibrosis meet in a hospital and fall in love, though their disease means they must avoid close physical contact. A pair of teenagers with cystic fibrosis meet in a hospital and fall in love, though their disease means they must avoid close physical contact.
In this book, there is a little bit of sex. It doesn't really get into too much detail, but there are two main scenes that have a bit of sexual talk. There is a bunch of romance, but the two main characters can't kiss, so there's nothing that talks about kissing.
While there is no sex seen, the two teens talk about sex and not having sex because of their illness through out the whole film. F-bomb is dropped and S bomb a few times. Story is a good message in all about living for today not holding back in life.
Five Feet Apart is a 2019 American romantic drama film directed by Justin Baldoni (in his directorial debut) and written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis.
3. The majority of children don't spend enough time reading outside of school. According to teachers, students should be reading between 15 minutes and 1 hour a day outside of school (85% of teachers expect daily reading in this range), but most of their students are reading less than the 15-minute daily minimum.
While most children have "learned to read" by age seven, they are still building confidence in their fluency, vocabulary and reading comprehension skills as they grow into strong readers. Create a playful reading atmosphere at home by encouraging your child's curiosity about books and the world around them.
Experts say that most children learn to read by age 6 or 7, meaning first or second grade, and that some learn much earlier. However, a head start on reading doesn't guarantee a child will stay ahead as they progress through school. Abilities tend to even out in later grades.
13 Going on 30 is rated PG-13.
Some sexual content and brief drug references give this movie a PG-13 rating. However, this feel-good movie would be appropriate for kids even younger. Although, little kids may not get the jokes or find it as entertaining as tweens and teens.
TV-14: parents strongly cautioned — not recommended for kids younger than 14; contains one or more of the following: intense violence (V), intense sexual situations (S), strong language (L), and intensely suggestive dialogue.
It has intense violence at certain parts, there is clearly a lot of illegal drug use, there is a moderate amount of sexual content with some nudity in the pilot episode, and there is a good amount of swearing throughout the show.
