Postmortem priapism Also called “angel lust” or “death erection”, some dead bodies can actually have an erection. Although rare and usually cause by swift and violent manners of death, priapisms do occur.
Rigor mortis is a stiffening of joints and muscles. It is not a stiffening of soft tissue, which is what the penis is. The penis gets erect due to blood flowing in, tissues swelling, and that pressure keeping the blood inside. After death, there's no blood flow, ergo, no erections.

A decomposing corpse can definitely move a little, but sitting straight up is just not going to happen.
Burying a body 6 feet deep may have been a way to stop animals from smelling the decomposing bodies. A body buried 6 feet deep would also be safe from accidental disturbances like plowing.

What Happens One Hour After Death? At the moment of death, all of the muscles in the body relax (primary flaccidity ). The eyelids lose their tension, the pupils dilate, the jaw may fall open, and the joints and limbs are flexible.
