As a matter of fact, introverts tend to form strong relationships. If you truly want to find more friends, it's entirely possible to do so. But it's important to make these connections for the right reasons. Ask yourself whether you really want more friends or merely believe you should have them.
So when you're trying to become friends with people who are shy, don't try to change them or force them into a situation where they're not comfortable. Some people just prefer more solitude or one-on-one conversations rather than group chats, and that's fine. Make sure to respect their preferences.
To most people, loneliness is not a word that meshes with introversion. Everyone knows that introverts value their alone time almost more than anything else. As Susan Cain wrote in Quiet, “Solitude matters, and for some people, it's the air they breathe.”
Introverts are self-sufficient, and it's why they're so quiet. A quiet person's personality is inward, which means they naturally search themselves for comfort. Since they keep a small circle, they develop the habit of self-reliance by finding ways to cater to their needs.
Psychologically, the Main character trait for a quiet Person might be is silence and smartness, because it`s attached to a high analysis ability of events and other`s actions, not necessary at all that quiet person could be just humble, modest, afraid, dangerous, or even weak…it`s something deeper than that.
Some people are born being extroverts and having outgoing personalities, but for some of us, we were born being shy and quiet souls who only talk to the select few that we feel comfortable with. There's nothing wrong with being quiet and only talking when you feel like it. It's okay to be quiet.
Gaining respect as an introvert is as easy as using the power pause, making extended eye contact and not theorizing, but summarizing. I promise if you do these no matter how introverted or quiet you are, you will feel the difference right away.
Being an introvert doesn't necessarily mean you're socially awkward, but the two do sometimes overlap. Certainly, as in my case, the fear of feeling anxious and awkward in social settings can cause us to lean into our introversion.
Being quiet doesn't mean that you are shy or insecure. Quiet confident people exude an energy of self-assurance and strength, which is very attractive to other people. It might be quiet, but it's powerful! It also shows that you are comfortable in your own skin.
Introverts Don't Have Low Self Esteem
Another common misconception about introverts is that they are quiet and reserved because they have low self-esteem or lack self-confidence.
Introversion and Happiness
While introverts are generally likely to report lower levels of happiness than extroverts, this does not mean that introverts are unhappy. Ultimately, it's important to note the happiness benefits of both introverted and extroverted behavior, no matter where you fall on the spectrum.
Sometimes being quiet and introverted is a sign that someone has a naturally shy personality. But that's not always the case. Being quiet is not always the same as being shy.
But quiet people are normal. Researchers estimate that a substantial portion — one third to one-half — of the population is introverted.
Practicing quiet at times throughout the day might set you up for better rest at night. “Silence and periods of calm stimulate brain growth and relieve tension, which can result in a higher sense of well-being, as people can then feel more relaxed generally,” says Prunty. “When this occurs, sleep quality improves.”
Many people falsely believe that extroverted individuals are the most successful leaders. But in fact, both introverts and extroverts have equal opportunity to achieve greatness in the workplace. An introvert leader can guide, mentor, make important decisions, and network just as well as an extrovert leader.
Extreme shyness can be positive and negative. It's usually not a turn off unless the way the girl expresses shyness is by acting aloof.
Being silent allows us to channel our energies. It gives us the clarity we need to calmly face challenges and uncertainty. The hour of silence I practice each morning, and encourage you to practice as well, can be a time for collecting our thoughts, training our minds, and deciding how we want to enter into the day.
Abraham Lincoln said, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." I'm not suggesting you remain silent all the time. But it's all too easy to speak thoughtlessly, with insufficient information, or out of a wrong assumption.
When you hear the word introvert, you might think of someone who's shy or quiet and prefers to be alone. While that may be true for some introverts, there's much more to this personality type. Whether you're an introvert or an extrovert all depends on how you process the world around you.
Silence Can Be Intimidating and Revealing Without Being Forceful. Perhaps the anticipation created through silence is so powerful, even our naval forces have tapped into the hidden potential of silence and have developed a weapon to stop people from talking.
