The most effective way to destroy the Bradley is explosives (such as the RPG) or other heavy weapons such as the Tau Cannon. Small arms fire can also do damage to the Bradley by shooting the turret, though this is extremely slow and not recommended.
Armor was improved, both passive and the ability to mount explosive reactive armor. The new armor protects the Bradley against 30 mm APDS rounds and RPGs, or similar anti-armor weapons. The new armor eliminated the trim vane that made the Bradley amphibious and covered up the side firing ports.

The Russian text suggests firing an Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM), an RPG-7 with a fragmented warhead, or a 9M113 Kornet on its turret. Another suggestion is mining the roads and the approaches possibly used by the Bradley as it is “vulnerable” to landmines.
RPGs with high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warheads are very effective against lightly armored vehicles such as armored personnel carriers (APCs) and armored cars.
Can an Abrams tank be destroyed by RPG? No, but there is very little room where it would be a critical hit. The turret roof is only about 1“ thick so even an RPG7 could penetrate. However the only area where that would be a major problem would be after the front turret armor and before the blow out panels.
Of the nine Abrams tanks destroyed, seven were destroyed by friendly fire and two intentionally destroyed to prevent capture by the Iraqi Army. No M1s were lost to enemy tank fire.
ago RPG-7s featured in battlefield were made to counter early to mid cold war NATO tank doctrines. If used on early tanks without reactive armor or counter measures like trophy systems, a RPG7 would easily destroy a tank. Most RPGs can be carried by an individual soldier, and are frequently used as anti-tank weapons.
Would an RPG explode if it hit a person? Yes, generally the munition will explode on contact. There are a couple minor exceptions. The first is that some munitions have a built-in self-destruct mechanism.
At a cost of over $300,000 and enough armor to stop an RPG, the President's ground vehicle is a very resilient ride.
It wouldn't even need to be modern: the original RPG-7, using the PG-7V warhead, is described as penetrating 260 mm of armour: that's enough to get through the armour of a Tiger (any variant) pretty much wherever you hit it, unless you get very oblique impacts or other bad luck.
After Ukrainian automatic cannon fire took out the infantry Russian forces declared a "real hunt" by introducing two T-72s onto the battlefield, Maliar wrote, according to The New Voice of Ukraine's translation. But both tanks were destroyed by the Bradley's heavy TOW anti-tank missiles, Maliar said.
Actually yes, you CAN.
The M-2 that knocked out two Russian tanks. In a single furious skirmish in southern Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the three-man crew of an M-2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle belonging to the Ukrainian army's 47th Mechanized Brigade reportedly knocked out two Russian T-72 tanks.
Combat history
During the Gulf War, M2 Bradleys destroyed more Iraqi armored vehicles than the M1 Abrams. A few kills against Iraqi T-72 tanks at close range are reported.
5mm heavy machine gun fire, but with the crew-installable add-on armor kit (which adds significantly to the vehicle's weight), it is also capable of surviving a hit from an RPG-7 rocket propelled grenade. The Infantry Combat Vehicle provides transport and fire support for a 9 man squad.
“What the Bradley does is bring firepower,” says Mark F. Cancian, a retired Marine Corps reserves colonel and senior advisor at CSIS. “It is powerful enough to punch through a lot of armor, not just for lightly armored vehicles, but even tanks.”
Fire a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) at bulletproof glass to blow it apart. While bulletproof glass is great at stopping handgun rounds, it's ineffective against explosive grenades. So, if you hit the glass with an RPG or any other type of hand-launched explosive device, it's sure to be utterly destroyed.
Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPG): An RPG is a shoulder-fired missile that will obliterate any form of bulletproof glass that is currently on the market. However, civilians cannot access this weapon.
Since most of the readily available RPG-7 rounds cannot penetrate M1 Abrams tank armor from almost any angle, it is primarily effective against soft-skinned or lightly armored vehicles, and infantry.
The RShG-1 is very similar in operation to the RPG-27. It has a lethal radius of 10 metres (33 ft) and a larger sighting range of 600 metres (2,000 ft). The warhead contains 1.9 kilograms (4.2 lb) of thermobaric mixture, with an explosive yield roughly equal to that of 8 kilograms (18 lb) of TNT.
The booster consists of a "small strip powder charge" that serves to propel the grenade out of the launcher; the sustainer motor then ignites and propels the grenade for the next few seconds, giving it a top speed of 294 metres per second (660 mph).
They are legal in the USA.
Just incredibly rare. An RPG-7 and similar weapons fall under the “Destructive Devices” category of NFA weapons. Provided you find one for sale or manage to import it and the grenades, pay the $200 transfer tax for the launcher and each grenade and do a Form 4 for each, you can own them.
The Precision Shoulder-fired Rocket Launcher-1 also known as the (PSRL-1) is a modified American clone of the Soviet/Russian RPG-7 shoulder-fired rocket-propelled grenade launcher developed by AirTronic USA.
Although the RPG-7 is unable to penetrate the front and sides, the rear and top are vulnerable to this weapon. Frequently the rockets were fired at the tank tracks. An Abrams was disabled near Karbala after an RPG warhead penetrated the rear engine compartment.
Can a sniper shooting the head of the RPG cause it to explode? That's not how an RPG works unfortunately. The RPG will only explode when it's armed, you arm it by pulling off that little white thingy at the end of the warhead, as well shooting it will more than likely disconnect the explosive from the fuse.
