That's not to say no single hero can't beat him, as heroes like the original Captain Marvel, Adam Warlock, and Silver Surfer all have victories over him. DC's heroes are often more powerful than their marvelous counterparts, which would give more of them a chance to beat Thanos entirely on their own.
While Thanos is an Eternal and has the standard powers of super-strength, agility, regeneration, immortality, and more, Adam Warlock takes the upper hand. He can be killed, but he resurrects to be stronger every time.
1 Thanos / Darkseid
Of the numerous villains that each team has faced over the years, few have been as dangerous or iconic as Marvel's Thanos and DC's Darkseid, alien warlords obsessed with obtaining a MacGuffin(s) of unimaginable power that will grant them dominance over an abstract facet of existence.
DC Is Going To Blitz The Marvel Heroes
Beyond the fact that DC's heroes are overall more powerful, they have numerous advantages. From magic-users to Kryptonians to the Flash Family, Marvel can't match DC's power. Even Marvel's mutants would fall against a concerted assault from a team of Flashes.
When counting down the most powerful DC cosmic characters of all time, the number one has to be DC's version of God known as The Presence. While there are numerous Gods in the DC pantheon, mostly from the Greek versions of Zeus and his offspring, the Presence is more powerful than them all.
Spectre. Spectre can defeat the Hulk because of his frequently approaching power level, which borders on omnipotence. After being killed and coming back from the dead as The Spectre, Detective Jim Corrigan has been obsessed with exacting revenge on those who have mistreated him.
In an inversion of the format exemplified by Loki, Black Adam will be introduced in his own solo film before appearing in his traditional villain role. Despite this inversion, Black Adam serves a similar role in the DCEU that Loki served in the MCU.
Thanos (copied from DC's Darkseid)
The Big Bad in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thanos, is actually an imitation of the Big Bad in the DC universe, Darkseid. The God of Evil, Darkseid, is a universal tyrant who wants to subjugate all reality, is searching for the anti-life equation, and is obsessed with death.
Machinehead is DC's answer to Iron Man. While his real identity (if there is a human under the suit) has never been revealed, he's shown to be a useful tool in the multiverse.
Thor: The God of Thunder almost killed Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. He really would have taken down the Mad Titan there and then if not for his wish to see Thanos realise the error of his ways. As Thanos said, he should have gone for the head. We think if Thor got another chance, he would not miss.
While it is fairly obvious that the Flash could run circles around Thanos under normal circumstances as his powers make him virtually untouchable, there wouldn't be much the Scarlet Speedster could do if he was around for Thanos' Infinity Snap as there is no way to outrun the god-like power of cosmic chance.
Still, Thanos stands no chance. The thing about Darkseid is that he scales on a much higher level than a lot of Marvel villains, as he is actually on a tier slightly above Superman in DC. In that regard, he is an incredibly powerful villain, much stronger than the Mad Titan.
Sadly, no matter which version of Aquaman (Momoa or otherwise) goes up against Thanos, the result will stay the same. The King of Atlantis will lose to Thanos even with his whole kingdom to reinforce him. He's a lot less stronger than Superman or Wonder Woman and a less intelligent than Batman.

Superman is one of the most powerful superheroes in the DC Universe. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, durability, and the ability to fly. Additionally, he has heat vision, super breath, x-ray vision, and is virtually invulnerable to all physical harm, including Iron Man's weaponry.

The most recent crossover between the publishers happened 20 years ago in JLA/Avengers, by Kurt Busiek and the late George Pérez, featuring the premiere teams of both publishers in a single story. An official crossover between Marvel and DC hasn't happened since.
