According to the Vinaya, monastics can eat food only between dawn and noon. Although this diet was intended to meet the specific needs of the Buddhist community in 5th-century India, some lay people have chosen to take on a version of the practice.
The Buddha recommended this kind of fasting after noon for health reasons, stating "I do not eat in the evening and thus am free from illness and affliction and enjoy health, strength and ease" (M.I,473).
Specific Food Practices

Bedtime – the monks went to bed at 8pm in the winter and 9pm in the summer. They had to sleep in dormitories of 10 or 20. They slept fully clothed except that they had to remove their knives in case they cut themselves when they were asleep.
Medieval monks were also required to sleep differently – according to the Rule of St. Benedict, they would go to bed at about 7:00 pm, and then wake up for Matins around 2:00 in the morning.
#1 Have a cut-off time / Shower time
Buddhists do it by taking a shower. This ritual is always at 5 or 5.30 p.m. — a few hours before going to bed so that they can spend the rest of the evening relaxed and fall asleep easily. The only catch is to surrender. As you are underneath the shower, feel the water on your body.
