Deleting Whatsapp Backup is a simple task. Go to Settings on your iPhone, click on the banner which has your name, photo, and iCloud details. Then click on the iCloud option > manage storage > Whatsapp > delete data.
What will happen if I delete WhatsApp backup? If you delete a WhatsApp backup, you will not be able to use it to restore your WhatsApp chat history on a new device. You also cannot use it to restore your chats on your current device if you uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp, since no backups would be available.
Deleting the WhatsApp Account means completely erasing your details, messages, and phone number from WhatsApp. In this case, you won't be able to retrieve any of your old messages even if you had backed them up.
It will erase the data you previously backed up to iCloud.
So, in case you need to set up your iPhone from scratch, you will not be able to recover data from iCloud.

iCloud automatically creates backups of your WhatsApp chats, and these backups aren't protected by WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption. We recommend disabling iCloud backup when you set up end-to-end encrypted backup in WhatsApp.
On the CHATS tab, tap More options > Settings. Tap Storage and data > Manage storage. Tap Manage Storage under iCloud. Tap Backups. Tap the device whose backup you want to delete.
The size of full chat backups for heavy WhatsApp users can easily run into a few gigabytes. The most obvious way to reduce this is by not backing up media files with chat history, which might not be acceptable for everyone.
