The ability to speak Parseltongue is usually inborn; a wizard is born being able to speak Parseltongue, and those who are not born with the ability cannot normally learn the language (although, according to the author, Dumbledore may have learned to understand it, and in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,
The ability to actually speak Parseltongue — not just imitate it as Ron Weasley did — is considered an attribute of a Dark Wizard, which is partly due to the fact that both Salazar Slytherin and Lord Voldemort possessed this ability. Another notable Dark Wizard who was also a Parselmouth was Herpo the Foul.
Ron spoke Parseltongue in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to open the Chamber of Secrets.
Nowhere in the books does it suggest that only Heirs of Slytherin could speak Parseltongue. The few times it is referred to, it is only called the mark of a Dark Wizard.
As J.K Rowling revealed, Albus Dumbledore had mastered Parseltongue too – although he could not speak it aloud.

Voldemort intentionally made six Horcruxes, but when he used Avada Kedavra on Harry, he unintentionally created a seventh Horcrux. Instead of dying, Lily's love for Harry created a counter 'curse' known as Sacrificial Protection and saved Harry.
The lightning bolt scar that was so vibrant in the first films has almost completely disappeared. The scar is no longer dark, and instead has faded almost to his usual skintone. Scars do fade with time, but J.K Rowling wrote in the book that: "The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well."
Although, as Dumbledore says, Harry's ability to speak Parseltongue is a skill accidentally transferred by Slytherin's actual heir, Voldemort, when he tried to kill Harry as a baby. So perhaps this is one myth with a bit of truth to it.

The Heir of Slytherin turns out to be Ginny Weasley, who is being controlled via a magical diary that once belonged to Tom Riddle, AKA Voldemort.
Expelliarmus did not beat Avada Kedavra. Voldemort's wand (the elder wand) recognized its true master (that was Harry) and refused to attack it. In a way Voldemort killed himself as his own spell backfired on him.
Harry's scar had hurt during Arrival Feast because of Quirrell's connection to Voldemort; Snape was then talking to Quirrell, allowing Voldemort, from the back of Quirrell's head, to sense Harry's presence.
