Introverts can definitely have good social skills but the reality is that introverts just socialize differently than extroverts do. It doesn't make introverts better nor extroverts better, they are just wired differently which causes these preferences.
Many introverts also display qualities that you wouldn't think are typical to their personality type. For instance, there are plenty of introverts who enjoy socializing. You might even be surprised to learn that many people who you think of as "social butterflies" might actually be quite introverted.
Under the right circumstances, an Introvert can enjoy socializing just as much as an Extravert. An Introvert who enjoys it immensely can be classified as a social Introvert, in recognition of their need for regular and stimulating interactions with other people.
Being an introvert doesn't necessarily mean you're socially awkward, but the two do sometimes overlap. Certainly, as in my case, the fear of feeling anxious and awkward in social settings can cause us to lean into our introversion.
Being an introvert doesn't affect how friendly you may be. Some people may think that introverts are unfriendly because they don't tend to have large groups of friends, and they may reflect on situations quietly rather than joining in on conversations at gatherings. Introverts can't be leaders.
Given that research shows that people find confidence attractive, this can be quite beneficial. The simple fact that you remain quieter when others are actively engaged in debate and conversation might give the impression that you are confident in your own opinions and beliefs.
People generally want to find out more about introverts, and this sponsors their attractive aura. Not only do introverts have calm composures, but they're also incredibly intriguing, and people unconsciously love it.
In fact, psychologists have consistently found that both men and women rate humility as one of the most desirable traits in a partner. And what group of people are much more likely than average to have this highly sought-after trait? Yep, shy people.
Because someone is introverted it doesn't automatically mean that they lack confidence, they lack self-belief, or that they are shy. Introversion is NOT something that has to be gotten over or grown out of.
Though introverts may be perceived as intimidating due to these qualities, they simply have different priorities and values. This is the way they are, and it works for them. Introverts do not intentionally intimidate others; they just tend to get caught up in doing so inadvertently.
More importantly, the understanding that introverts lack social skills are not necessarily true. Many introverts function very well in social situations (Costa and McCrae, 2006), although they might prefer to avoid them due to the overwhelming feeling by too much social engagement (Helgoe, 2008).
Weaknesses: social anxiety, shyness, navigating a predominantly extroverted world.
One study found that introverts may actually have better interpersonal skills than extroverts. Since they often spend their time observing others, they are usually better at predicting reactions from others in social situations. This allows them to read others and respond appropriately.
More often than not, “Quiet People” are perceived as shy, uninteresting or uninterested, unhappy, introvert and maybe not very bright.
Quiet people are more likely to be introverts than extroverts and tend to be more creative and sensitive than the average person. They also tend to be private people who don't like being in large crowds or socializing much at all unless it's necessary for work or school.
Try to turn normal activities into socializing opportunities
Are you planning to visit a new restaurant? Invite a friend to go with you on your lunch break! This one might shock you but I invite friends over when I am doing my chores. Chatting goes perfectly with ironing.
Is it a bad thing to be a quiet person? Bust the belief that quietness is a sign of weakness when there is nothing wrong with being an introvert. It is okay to go quiet every once in a while. However, when quietness is part of our introverted personality, it is often perceived as something bad or a sign of weakness.
Quiet people have power because they are willing to spend more time and energy on self-reflection, which helps to know oneself, practice self, stimulate potential, and improve self-personality.
When Introverts become angry, they tend to hold everything inside, hiding their anger from others and even from themselves. Or at least this is what most people think. In fact, this idea is more myth than reality. When Introverts become angry, they may try to repress their feelings.
To others, you appear modest, empathetic and non-threatening, which are all attractive qualities. So, while shy people will often ponder for a long time before they approach someone, when they do, they tend to have a consistently good experience.
Studies show that introverted or shy men are likely to be attracted to both shy and outgoing women, while extroverted men may have a preference for outgoing women.
In reality, guys don't dislike shy girls at all. They find them mysterious and totally appealing. In fact, many guys actually dislike dating girls who can't stop talking. Being shy is an advantage.

You're the silent type
You'll find plenty of misconceptions about quiet people, e.g. being labeled as introverts, socially awkward and so on. This isn't necessarily true, and while not all quiet people are necessarily smart, highly intelligent people will often refrain from speaking if they are accessing a situation.
Introverts are often mysterious, because you don't learn all about them in one go. I briefly mentioned this, where I said introverts don't spill their thoughts straight away. They are cerebral beings. They think before they speak.
