Much like against Scarlet Witch, Sandman would struggle even getting close to the God of Thunder. Thor can twirl his hammer at such velocities that approaching it would spell suicide. While it's possible that Thor could simply obliterate Sandman before he had the chance to disperse, it would make little difference.
Heat vision and super-breath. This is how Sandman would be defeated by the Man of Steel. Supes would use his breath powers to separate Flint's sand particles, similar to what Flash would do when he smartened up. The other way Kal could defeat Marko is with his heat vision.
When Sandman is in possession of his pouch of sand, he can put people to sleep or take the ability to sleep away from them forever. He has a magical helm that helps him travel throughout The Dreaming, and he also imbued a ruby with the power to blur dreams and reality.
God is all-powerful, and can't be defeated. Thor isn't all-powerful, and can be defeated. Therefore, God woulld logically be able to easily beat Thor.
They're both really bad but Zeus had the excuse of being corrupted and was under the influence of Pandora's box which made him act the way he did while Odin was always selfish and manipulative on his own naturally.
Thor wanted Zeus and the other gods to help him fight Gorr the Godbutcher (Christian Bale), who—as you can perhaps guess from his name—poses a threat to all the gods. Zeus is uninterested in helping. Thor then kills Zeus using Zeus' own thunderbolt, which (frankly) feels like a bit of an overreaction.
Water: The Sandman's weakness that makes him most vulnerable is water. Water can soften his sand granules therefore, Sandman cannot control them and has to wait for them to dry.
Dream is without question one of the strongest characters in The Sandman universe thanks to his powerful and varied abilities and also because he is more than willing to act on his power. Dream is so powerful that he is even willing to venture into Hell itself to confront Lucifer Morningstar when the need arises.
Sandman eventually discovered that his sand form granted him immortality, and went on to live for five billion years more.
Hercules / Zeus
He ranks above Thor here because he's technically the stronger of the two. In fact, he is considered by many authorities to be the physically strongest character Marvel has ever created.
Who can beat Thor? In his normal form, with his classic power levels, Thor has openly stated that the Hulk is one foe he can't beat.
Odin. Odin is basically Thor and all the other Asgardians rolled into one—though he's even wiser, more experienced, and minus one eye. As the default King of Asgard, Odin is easily the most powerful being in his realm.
Unlike the Sandman's fast transformation from sand to glass, his transformation from glass to sand takes time. Although he is invulnerable to most physical attacks, even projectiles because they pass through him, water is capable of harming him.
Morpheus's powers over dreams give him unique abilities that are extremely hard to match. For example, even when he comes to the physical world, his clothes are made of dream stuff, a material that he and his servants use to create things in dreams. The Sandman can also bring things from dreams into the real world.
Hulk would win this quite easily. Morbious is a Spider-Man level villain and is way outclassed here.
Portrayal(s) Dream was one of the seven Endless, powerful beings that are older than gods. He went by countless names; such as Oneiros, Morpheus and Sandman.
Carnage can't be weakened by anything Sandman night throw at him. When push comes to shove, they have the same weaknesses. Sand turns into glass when it touches fire, and sand can be moved by loud noises. It's likely going to come down to their powersets.
Venom won with ease. He bit him and the battle was over. After that Sandman started to fall apart over the length of a few comics because Venom's bite is apparently poisonous.
Sandy is arguably the most powerful of the Guardians because, unlike the rest, Sandy is able to connect to any and every child every night because he sends out his Dreamsand to bring pleasant dreams to all. Sandman was the first guardian chosen by The Man in the Moon.
Nigh-Omniscience: Death is possibly the most powerful of the Endless having been shown (in a flashback in Brief Lives) to be virtually omniscient and being able to intimidate the Furies, who show no fear of the other Endless, simply by raising her voice.
Blinded by a need for revenge, Peter hunts down Sandman, using water to disintegrate the villain's body and supposedly kill him.
While Thor is powerful and his strength is said to be unmatched, he is not strictly immortal like other mythological gods. He is susceptible both to aging and to being killed in battle. Like other Norse gods, he must consume special apples kept by the goddess Idun to keep from aging.
Thor wins. Not only is Thor a better combatant and more experienced, but he also can be stronger than Shazam by using Megingjord to augment his superhuman strength. Additionally, Thor is more invulnerable than Shazam and has a better understanding and grasp of magical and mystical energies.
Hercules' strength is rarely matched. There were times when he even overpowered the Incredible Hulk – a feat that not even Thor could complete. So, when it comes to physical strength, Hercules is the strongest.
