With this feature turned on, Siri announces incoming notifications from apps such as Messages and Reminders, and from supported third-party apps. Siri reads your incoming notifications out loud when your headphones are connected to your iPhone or iPad, you're wearing them, and your device is locked.
Tap Announce Notifications to enter a menu of options related to the feature. (If you don't see this option, skip to step 5.) Tap to enable the Announce Notifications toggle. Now Siri will automatically read out your messages and notifications!
Siri won't read messages if Phone is locked.
Step 1: Turn on Select to Speak
Open your device's Settings app . Tap Accessibility, then tap Select to Speak. Note: If you don't see Select to Speak, go to Google Play to download the latest version of Android Accessibility Suite, then try these steps again.
As long as the Announce Notifications feature is enabled, Siri will read all notifications, provided your headphones are connected to your device (iPhone or iPad) and the device is locked.
Turn on Announce Messages
On your device, go to Settings > Notifications > Messages, then turn on Announce Notifications. You can also choose what kinds of notifications you want announced. Note: To turn on Announce Messages, you must first turn on Announce Notifications in Settings > Notifications.

Change the voice for Siri
You can change the Siri voice (not available for all languages). Go to Settings > Siri & Search. Tap Siri Voice, then choose a different variety or voice.
Hear messages automatically
Before you start to drive, turn on Google Assistant driving mode. Say “Hey Google, turn on auto read.” When you get a new message, Google Assistant reads it.
Siri Unlock
Adding an unlock voice command to Siri is relatively quick to set up. In the Voice Control sub-menu in the iPhone's Accessibility settings, you tap Customize Commands and then Create New Command.
Try the following solutions: Check if your iPhone/iPad is compatible. Ensure you are using compatible AirPods or Beats Headphones. Check that the 'Announce Messages with Siri' is turned on in Settings.
In order to have Siri read your messages, you'll need to have iOS 13.2 or iPadOS 13.2 installed on your iPhone or iPad. And, of course, you'll also need to have one of the following sets of AirPods or Beats headphones: AirPods (2nd generation) AirPods Pro.

Make a call, send a message, and more
Just ask Siri to call a person in your contact book. You can also send Messages using the locked device. Just ask Siri to send a Message and name someone in the device's Contacts book. To stop this, set Allow Siri When Locked to off in Settings>Siri & Search.
