Thor can use the axe to change the weather, summon lightning, and use it as a weapon. Just like Mjolnir, Stormbreaker allows Thor to fly at super speeds and summon it with his hand.
Both weapons also enable Thor to fly, and to channel his power to summon lightning. Stormbreaker has the additional power to summon the Bifröst, allowing Thor to teleport anywhere in the Nine Realms.
Storm Manipulation: Stormbreaker can manipulate the weather around him. Thor was able to generate thunder and lightning while calling his weapons before fighting Thanos.
Overall, though, Stormbreaker seems to have the edge over Mjolnir once again. Strong enough to open the Bifrost, reach Eternity, and manipulate storms the same way Mjolnir can, Stormbreaker's powers are greater than that of the mythical hammer.
Thor uses Zeus's Thunderbolt which apparently can also transport people anywhere in the galaxy, and Jane uses Valkyrie's horse, which they did establish could theoretically teleport them to Gorr.
Stormbreaker is jealous about Mjölnir's return because the ax is basically a moody teenager. In Thor: Love & Thunder, Chris Hemsworth's Thor comes face to face with somebody he once loved.
The hammer Stormbreaker is very similar to Mjolnir, made of mystic Uru metal and is nearly indestructible. Worthiness: Just like the original Mjolnir, no one can lift Stormbreaker who is not worthy.
The Asgardian Son of Odin was extremely close to ending Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. After gaining the powerful weapon Stormbreaker, Thor becomes the wielder of the most powerful weapon in the universe. Stormbreaker is capable of killing Thanos outright, and only Thor is currently worthy of wielding it.
Mjolnir, the Mystical Uru Warhammer
Mjolnir was forged for Thor Odinson's grandfather by the dwarves, who used the core of a star and Uru metal to form the iconic hammer and imbue it with its immense strength and magic. It is nearly invulnerable and is capable of great destruction.
Many viewers have pointed out that Thanos was able to lift Stormbreaker without a problem, but this is because the ax isn't enchanted as Mjolnir is. Others believe Thanos lifted Mjolnir (although briefly) and have even argued that he would be worthy of doing so.
But when it comes to the weapon's replacement, Stormbreaker – which Thor forges in Avengers: Infinity War – Groot is able to lift it too.
Thor's Stormbreaker
He gave him a good fight which showed us why he is called a God. He can fight Hulk with bare hands, and we have seen him do the same in Thor: Ragnarok as well.
While it's entirely possible that Stormbreaker could grow into another Groot in the MCU, the ax has certain properties that would make this new Groot an incredibly powerful addition to the franchise.
Worthy Warrior and Weaponry
Thor, son of Gods, has enhanced longevity, augmented by the Golden Apples of Idunn. He also possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability and immunity to most diseases.
While Thor is powerful and his strength is said to be unmatched, he is not strictly immortal like other mythological gods. He is susceptible both to aging and to being killed in battle.
It is safe to say that Stormbreaker cannot be destroyed by anything audiences have seen in the MCU so far. A power that Stormbreaker lacks is the "worthiness" enchantment of Odin. Anyone physically strong enough to lift and use Stormbreaker can use it.
Jarnbjorn. A battle axe favored by the current unworthy Odinson. It may not be Mjölnir but it has more that proven itself over the past few months. No longer the Thunder God or not, this Thor still has the ability to wreck shop with the best of them thanks to this impressive bit of metal.
Old Phoenix King Thor
Its most famous host is mutant Jean Grey but has inhabited many characters in the Marvel Universe. Old King Thor is one of the most powerful variants of the character. When Old King Thor merged with the Phoenix Force, becoming Old Phoenix King Thor, his powers greatly multiplied.
Determination. Thor is known for having a bad temper, yet his determination is also among his biggest flaws. Thor's perseverance is a weakness since it puts his life in danger because he continues putting himself in dangerous situations.
Stormbreaker can summon the bifrost and Hela is stronger in Asgard. Thor can teleport her and himself and open her chest killing her, or cut off her limbs ir head.
Stormbreaker can be used by anyone, it isn't bound by Odin's enchantments to only be lifted by the worthy. Mjolnir is, however, still enchanted, meaning that only those that are worthy may wield it.
Another plus in the Thor column is Stormbreaker. It is a mighty weapon with no equal, that can be used to defeat even the most powerful of villains, including the Scarlet Witch. In Infinity War, Stormbreaker fully pierces through the power of six infinity stones (something that Wanda struggled to do herself).
And Mathaudhu can cite documentary sources to back him up. For example, Marvel – which publishes the Thor comics – issued a “Thor's Hammer” trading card in 1991 that states Mjolnir is made of Uru and weighs precisely 42.3 pounds. That's lighter than a herd of 300 billion mice, much less a herd of 300 billion elephants.
Thor Odinson initially suspects Jane might be this new hero. But he eliminates her from his list of suspects because she is going through chemotherapy for breast cancer, which, he reasons, would make her too weak to fight.
The movie doesn't explain Thor's motivations for giving up Stormbreaker, but it makes sense that Chris Hemsworth simply wanted Love to have a powerful weapon to aid her in battle. It's unlikely that he could give her Mjolnir, considering that so few people in the MCU have been deemed worthy of its power.
