You can add up to five members to the account – perfect if you're using Uber for a family of 5. You can also set different default payment methods for different members, remove and add members or disable the feature at any time, meaning that you have full control over who is using the profile and how it's being used.
To request an UberPool pickup either first select the UberPool vehicle option on the slider at the bottom of the app's screen or select the UberX vehicle option then, toggle on the 'Find an UberPool match' option.
Go to 'Share My Trip' under the Settings tab in the app, or select 'Share My Trip' from the card in your feed. Select the contacts you want to share with and tap the share icon in the top left corner to start sharing. Your contact will see details about your trip.
To request a ride for someone else:
Enter your friend's contact details: Either select their contact information from the contact picker or type in their mobile number. Select your friend. Make sure they have an arrow on their icon. Tap “Confirm Rider” and “Next.”
To use Family Profiles, update to the latest version of the Uber app. From there, navigate to Menu > Settings. Scroll to "Add a Family Profile" and select the contacts you want to add. When they accept the invite, they can request rides from their phone, which will be charged to your credit card.
Select the “Drivers” tab from the menu. Tap the “Add Driver” button. Complete all info.
Tap to open the app, go to the menu, choose Settings, scroll down to Set up your family, and select the qualifying contacts you would like to add. Once added, the Family Profile rider will receive an invitation request. Please note: you must have the latest version of the app to use Family Profiles.
If your family members are not appearing on the account, resend their invites. If they didn't have the Uber app when you sent the invite, you'll need to resend the invite after they install the app.
Actually, there is no difference between UberX and Uber – UberX is simply a basic level of service that Uber offers. Uber offers a variety of service level options. They range from cheaper, economy rides to pricier luxury rides.
You can do this by simply setting the pick up location to where your friend is. You would need to know where he or she is and enter the location in the app.
Uber's terms and conditions do not allow sharing of driver accounts. Another driver using your account poses a serious safety concern.
