Wolverine's claws are so deadly, that they once managed to cut straight through colossus, whose body is made up of impenetrable organic metal.
Wolverine, given enough time, could defeat Colossus in a fight using only his claws, but he would have a terrifically difficult time doing so; the latter's skin is made of adamantium, same as Logan's claws, and even a demon-controlled Wolverine can do very little against him.
Adamantium is an unrelated alloy formulated by the same metallurgist when he failed to recreate the original. Colossus isn't as durable as vibranium or adamantium.
Only an Uru blade would be capable of out powering Cap's shield in the Marvel Comic Universe. Vibranium is the strongest metle on earth. Adamantium is strong but not as vibranium so caps shield cannot be tear apart by logans claws.
Both mutants are ostensibly on the same side; they differ greatly in temperament but are not afraid to fight for mutants against a world that hates them. While Colossus uses his brute strength, Wolverine uses his claws, which can cut through almost anything - except Colossus himself.
Wolverine Gets Torn in Half by the Hulk
Wolverine #1, the Hulk wasted little time before ripping Wolverine in two and tossing each half of his body in different directions. To survive, Wolverine's top half had to literally crawl until he located the bottom half and let his body come back from that one.
Vibranium is not unbreakable or impossible to damage, true Adamantium is denser and with a way superior penetrating force that allows it to cut through almost anything. BP's armor would give him protection and would be really hard to go completely through but Logan can damage it.
Wolverine takes the chains himself and wraps them around the Juggernaut, with the Cosmic Ghost Rider using his Power Cosmic to drain Juggernaut of his abilities, limiting his strength and reducing his healing. With Cosmic Ghost Rider's help, Wolverine is able to defeat Juggernaut relatively quickly.
Wolverine's adamantium claws can cut pretty much anything, but against the Fantastic Four's Mr. Fantastic, they are pretty much useless. There are few people or objects Wolverine's claws can't cut through, but against Mr. Fantastic's extraordinary stretching powers, the adamantium weapon can barely make a scratch.
Yes. But he was basically able to brush it off and seemed to be able to stop the fight at will. So while Logan may be able to pierce a god's skin, tis but a scratch.
Juggernaut would really only need to land a single hit on Colossus to knock him out and make him lose him armored form. However, Colossus is far more agile that Juggernaut, and could dodge him and counter him with better martial arts training easily.
The X-Men's then-ally Magneto attempted to heal Colossus with his magnetic powers, but was only able to close the wounds, trapping Colossus in his metal state.
Superhuman Durability: In his armored form, Colossus is completely bulletproof and invulnerable to most forms of bodily harm. He can survive extremes of temperature. He can also survive falls from great heights while in his armored body.
While Colossus tends to be the strongest member on any X-Men roster, the Hulk's a bit out of his league. Colossus knew this before he threw his first steel-coated punch, but still entered into a fight with the Hulk anyway. He got in a few good blows, but none of them phased the Hulk.
Thor joins the Ultimates in attacking the X-Men later on; he fights Storm but is defeated by Colossus.
Deadpool does his best to harm Colossus, but the metal skin and muscles of the Russian mutants mean that Wade can only break his wrists by punching him. In the comics, the two have faced several times, and the results are always the same.
His adamantium claws are one of the few weapons in the Marvel Universe that can consistently pierce Hulk's skin and Wolverine has no problem going for Hulk's head. In fact, if it came down to it, Wolverine could cut Hulk's head off, ending the Hulk once and for all.
Although the Merc with a Mouth and everyone's favorite adamantium clawed X-Men have both used their near-immortal powers to return from the dead, there is a strong case to be made that Wade Wilson's healing is far preferable to that of Logan.
This is a good thing for Wolverine; Cyclops's optic blasts can be devastating and Wolverine has acknowledged just how dangerous Cyclops can be. Cyclops has proven to be one of the most skilled heroes on the planet. He's an amazing leader and tactician and given enough time, can always pull the win out.
We know that Magneto can manipulate adamantium at will: not only can he freeze Wolverine in his tracks with a thought, the comics also saw him rip the metal off Logan's skeleton molecule by molecule.
The mutation that makes Wolverine worthy of the X-Men is that his cells regenerate at incredible speeds. He ages at a snail's pace, he can re-grow parts of limbs and organs after serious injury, and he is basically impervious to infection and disease.
Magneto can manipulate adamantium. Magneto has always been able to affect adamantium. This happens in many of different stories, including when Magneto slowly pulls Wolverine's adamantium-coated skeleton straight out of his body. And once Magneto has the adamantium, he can use it however he wants.
Omega Red is largely impervious to Wolverine's claws; the Red Room had been experimenting on his body in an effort to enhance his healing factor.
But Wolverine has Adamantium which is the strongest metal in the MCU world. It is impenetrable and Wolverine's claws can cut through anything even Thanos strong and thick purple skin.
Wolverine could keep slicing But his CLAWS alone wouldn't kill Ghost Rider! The one advantage would go to Ghost Rider. His ability to touch one's soul!
