An item can be attuned to only one creature at a time, and a creature can be attuned to no more than three
You can carry any number of the same item.
So yes, if a character attunes to an item, it breaks any existing attunement to that item by another character. In other words, yes, you can "steal" attunement from another character.
Basic Magical Weapons and Armor: Your basic +2 Mace or longsword, or +1 Chain Mail, or +3 half-plate does not require attunement.
No. Unfortunately, you are limited to just one item per short rest. The basic rules covers this (emphasis mine): Attuning to an item requires a creature to spend a short rest focused on only that item while being in physical contact with it (this can't be the same short rest used to learn the item's properties).
There are two items that increase the number of attunement slots separate from the attunement stat. The Southern Ritual Band gives 1, 2, 3 extra slots at +0, +1, and +2. The Black Witch Hat gives one additional slot.
Wearing special rings can increase the number of Attunement slot: The White Seance Ring which grant more Attunement slot by 1.
Breaking attunement can be as easy as leaving it behind and traveling more than 100 feet away from it for 24 hours, or simply spending a short rest with that item to break the connection between the attuned and the item. If the item is cursed, however, breaking attunement is not so easy.
Attunement grants 1 slot at 10, and 5 slots at 19. If you feel like spending 4 more points after that, you can have 6 slots. However, it's recommended that you not spend more afterwords (unless you really want more spells).
do you need to attune to get the +1 and resistance? No, you do not get the +1, all you get is the non-magical benefit and +1 is magical. You'd still get the basic +2 from using a shield, but nothing more.
Only ascended rings can be attuned.
A short rest is a period of downtime, at least 1 hour long, during which a character does nothing more strenuous than eating, drinking, reading, and tending to wounds.
To attune to an item, a character must spend a short rest (one hour) practicing with the item at hand or studying it. Upon concluding that short rest, a character becomes attuned to that item, gaining an understanding of its functionality and any command words it may have.
The official rules expect a character at level 20 to have 6 permanent magic items. That's a perfectly manageable number, and you should be very cautious to go beyond that. The official rules only have one limitation on this problem: Attunement.
Replicate Magic Item is the only Infusion which you can learn more than once, and there's no restriction on creating the sime item more than once. This means that you can create multiple bags of holding and turn them into single-use bombs.
A spell cast with a bonus action is especially swift. You must use a bonus action on your turn to cast the spell, provided that you haven't already taken a bonus action this turn. You can't cast another spell during the same turn, except for a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action.
Most people are lacking emotional attunement and don't realize they need to develop it. Like most skills, practice is required. You must work at becoming emotionally attuned to your partner. Once developed, attunement is capable of completely transforming your relationship.
Attunement is incredibly important within all kinds of relationships, as it allows for deeper connection, intimacy, and understanding.
Attunement is being aware of and responding to the emotions of another person and is the process by which we form close relationships. It is that essential component that allows us to feel close and connected to others.
Players will no longer require an attunement quest to enter the Black Temple. Players who have completed the attunement quests for Black Temple and Hyjal will be granted the title of "Hand of A'dal".
The former attunement questline was removed in patch 7.1.
Requirements for Getting Attuned to Black Temple
As of Phase 4, this attunement is no longer required to enter the Black Temple raid. You may still want to complete this attunement quest chain for the unique rewards, including the rare title "Hand of Adal".
14 gives you 2 Slots. 18 gives you 3 Slots. 24 gives you 4 Slots.
For each of the prerequisite stats you have at 20 or higher, you can gain another item attunement slot, giving a total of three if your Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma are all at 20 or higher.
To get Memory Slots in Elden Ring, players have to find Memory Stones. Once these Stones are obtained, they will immediately increase Spell Slots for the current character (without having to do anything). Obtaining more Memory Slots allow players to perform a variety of Sorceries and Incantations.
