Many people sell their axolotl eggs in online forums, to local fish stores, and to schools or universities. You need to be willing and able to safely ship the embryos to whoever you sell/donate them to.
Embryos kept at room temperature will hatch in two to three weeks. As the larvae hatch, carefully remove the discarded jelly capsules with a pipette. Some larvae may not hatch on their own.
To breed an axolotl you'll need to catch some tropical fish with a bucket, tropical fish can be found in the ocean biomes. Once you've caught the fish feed it to the axolotls so they can enter love mode. Once the axolotls enter love mode a baby axolotl will spawn within a few seconds.
The male Axolotls expels between 6 and 30 of these spermatophores around the water in hopes of leading a female over the top of one. Fertilization occurs within a few hours to a couple days, resulting in the female axolotls releasing 400-1000 eggs during spawning.
Remove the eggs or the adults as soon as egg-laying has finished, because axolotls are not averse to eating their own eggs. Eggs hatch sooner and larvae grow at a higher rate when kept at the upper end of the safe temperature range. At 72 degrees Fahrenheit, the eggs will hatch in about 15 days.
Freeze them. This will cause the larvae to go into hibernation mode, dulling their sense of pain before vital functions shut down. They will be unconscious before ice crystals begin to form. Once they are frozen solid, you can dispose of the eggs in the compost or trash.
the survival rate should honesly be about 95%. the 5% loss is often due to genetic abnormalities or mutations that cause growth to stop. Keeping 500 eggs to have only a few survive is a husbandry issue, not a genetic one.

Axolotls are generally considered inexpensive exotic pets with an initial cost of around $30 to $100; that too for basic and juvenile axolotls. The price, however, varies for exotic or adult axolotls. Depending on the rarity of morph and the health of the axolotl, rare axolotls like piebald axolotl cost around $100.
Axolotl Reproduction
There is what appears to be a dance after which the female lays her eggs, between 300 and 1000! After only two weeks the eggs hatch and the babies are left on their own.
In the wild, when temperatures get too low, axolotls might shed their slime coat, and be vulnerable to stress and diseases. Therefore, it is imperative to not let the water temperature drop below 50°F.
Fun fact: all albino axolotl will lay pure white eggs. All other axolotl will lay black or half black half white eggs. The colour of the eggs doesn't affect the colour of the axolotl when it hatches though, that is determined by the genetics of the parents.
Born as eggs, baby axolotls are around 0.5 inches long. Baby axolotls are born as eggs, whose larvae are usually about 0.5 inches long.
They should not be kept with other species as axolotls might try to eat pet fish, and the fish sometimes nip at them, as well. You even should be cautious about housing them with other axolotls. Juvenile axolotls can be cannibalistic toward one another, so they are best raised in separate enclosures.
The introduction of large numbers of carp and tilapia fish, which compete with axolotls for food and also eat axolotl eggs, has further lowered their population.
Adult axolotls poop about once a week. Usually, an adult axolotl poops about once a week. Anything above this is a sign that you're probably overfeeding your axolotl. However, if you suspect that your axolotl isn't pooping at all, it is also cause for worry.
Female axolotls tend to spawn as many as 1,000 eggs each time when she is ready to be bred. The best time to have your axolotls breed is always during the months of December till June.
