If you go overseas, you can still use your supports and funding for up to 6 weeks (or longer if we give you more time). We call this a 'grace period'. You'll probably need to have your funding self-managed or plan-managed if you need to use your funding overseas.

The NDIS doesn't typically fund holidays, however, you might be able to use your funding for the normal NDIS supports and services that you need while on holiday - if they relate directly to your disability.
Provider Travel
the provider is required to pay the worker delivering the support for the time they spent travelling as a result of the agreement under which the worker is employed; or the provider is a sole trader and is travelling from their usual place of work to or from the participant, or between participants.
You may not realise, but requesting funding to support holidays, travel or respite is absolutely reasonable if it supports the goals in your NDIS plan. This can include expenses that are related to your disability while on your travels, such as a travel support worker.
The time spent travelling to or from a participant must be claimed separately to the claim for the primary support. Invoices should show the support hours and the travel hours separately as they use different line items.
