The Tesla app provides access to your vehicle from anywhere as long as your phone and your Tesla vehicle have connectivity. Download and sign in to the Tesla app. Enable mobile app access from your vehicle touchscreen by tapping 'Controls' > 'Safety' > 'Mobile Access. '
You can also use the touchscreen popup to open and close doors when inside Model 3 while the vehicle is in Park. To open a front door in the unlikely situation when Model 3 has no power, pull up the manual door release located in front of the window switches.
Some smartphones with NFC capability can be used to lock/unlock your vehicle, just like using a key card. Ensure the Tesla mobile app is correctly paired to your vehicle and enable the NFC function on your phone. Once enabled, simply hold the phone to the driver's side door pillar to lock or unlock the door.
To open a falcon wing door from the inside: Press the switch located on the driver's side door pillar or use the door icon on the touchscreen (go to Controls > Locks and select the door).

See Opening Front Doors from Inside without Power. To open the Model Y doors from the inside with 12V power enabled, press the button located near the door panel. To open the Model Y front doors from the inside without 12V power, lift the mechanical release handle located near the window switches.
If Model 3 detects an authenticated key for five minutes after you exit the vehicle and close all doors, Walk-Away Lock disables and doors do not lock when you walk away. In this case, you must manually lock your vehicle until after your next drive.
Any driver can use the Easy Entry setting by associating it with their driver profile. When the Easy Entry setting is associated with a driver profile, the steering wheel and driver's seat automatically adjust when in Park and the driver's seat belt is unbuckled, allowing an easy exit from Model S.
If you enable Walk Away Door Lock, Model S locks when you walk away carrying your key fob with you (see Walk-Away Door Lock). While sitting inside Model S, you can also lock and unlock the vehicle by touching the icon on the touchscreen's status bar.
