A mobile phone with dual SIM cards allows the user to standby on two separate mobile networks. This means you're able to make and receive phone calls and SMS from two different phone numbers, on a single mobile device.
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS)
Data traffic can only be handled on one SIM card at a time and you can select which SIM card you want to use. At any given time, you can select which SIM card to use for making a call or sending a text message (SMS).
By activating two SIM cards you can receive calls and messages on both cards. If you are speaking on a call using one card, the other card cannot be used to receive new calls at the same time.
That's because you used to have a Dual SIM Full Active (DSFA) phone where both SIMs can receive incoming calls and texts and you now have a Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) phone which puts the other SIM into standby mode when the other is in use.
However, when one SIM card is engaged in a call, the other SIM card is temporarily disabled. This means, that, during a call, only the SIM card that you have selected to use (the active SIM card) is available for communications. It is not possible to handle two calls simultaneously on two different SIM cards.
Select the message and click on three dots on top right corner & then select view details. You can see the name of SIM on which sms has been received.
Pulse SMS
Pulse is a free SMS and MMS messenger that works on Android devices and let you beautifully send text and media to your contacts. Sync it with many devices. Dual sim supported for work and personal use.
The only way to find out which SIM received a given message is by clicking on the message and then tapping on the sender's name (top) and then choosing "I" for info and that will reveal which SIM was used to receive that message.
When a phone is in Dual SIM Dual Standby mode, both SIM cards are active and can make and receive calls while they are both in standby mode (i.e. neither are in use). Once one SIM card is in use (i.e. you take a phone call), the other SIM card becomes inactive for the duration that the first SIM card is in use.
You can set your incoming calls to simultaneously ring your mobile device and another number or contact in case you're busy or momentarily unavailable.
One such option is Messages by Google, a free messaging app that syncs your messages across devices. By signing in with your Google account, you can access text messages on multiple devices, making managing conversations from different phone numbers easier. You can also enable automatic forwarding.
The option is available in Android Settings- navigate to Settings>>Wireless & Networks>>SIM Management>>Default Settings>>Messages>> and select 'Always Ask".
Two-Way Messaging is an SMS service that allows businesses to send and receive SMS, to give their customers an easy way to respond. Two-Way SMS can be sent from a short code or long number via a messaging platform with the use of APIs, to communicate with large numbers of customers effectively.
The Dual Messenger function will allow you to use two separate accounts for the same app. Once enabled, a second app icon will appear on your Home screen. From there you'll be able to send and receive messages to a second account.
SIM cards have storage capacities that usually range from 8KB to 256KB, which totals up to about 250 contacts, some messages, and some of your other key data.
If your phone uses two SIM cards, you can typically tell which number is being called by checking the call display or call logs. When a call comes in, the phone should display the number or name of the person calling, along with an indication of which SIM card is receiving the call.
On Android, texts are stored directly to the device that can be backed up to Google Drive or Google Drive Samsung Cloud for a Samsung device. Some phones allow you to save texts to the SIM card memory at least temporarily for the purpose of transferring cards between phones.
If your device has more than 1 SIM and is capable of Dual SIM/Dual Standby (DSDS), you can have multiple numbers on 1 phone. With DSDS, each SIM can be activated on a separate mobile phone number. Options include: Each number can be with a different carrier (domestic or foreign).
A dual SIM phone is one that can have two active numbers, plans, or accounts. You get this convenience on one device because it can have two separate SIMs: A physical SIM: A plastic card inserted into your phone. An eSIM: A digital SIM downloaded to compatible devices.
Make sure Numero eSIM is permitted to access your SMS. Then, click the below right button. Simply send and receive SMS via Numero eSIM Number just the same way you do it for your Android/iOS phone.
