The new kickoff rule in the NFL will provide the opportunity for the ball to be placed at the 25-yard line on kickoffs if a fair catch is called behind the 25-yard line. If you are familiar with college football, this rule will not be new to you, as it has been used in college games since 2018.
Can a goal be scored directly from a dropped ball? No. If a dropped ball enters the goal without touching at least two players play is restarted with a goal kick (if it enters the opponents' goal) or a corner kick (if it enters the team's goal).

A penalty kick is awarded if a player commits a direct free kick offence inside their penalty area or off the field as part of play as outlined in Laws 12 and 13. A goal may be scored directly from a penalty kick.
If the receiving player is blocked into the ball, it is not considered "touching" the ball. A field goal cannot be scored on a punt kick. By contrast, the now very rarely attempted drop kick can be used to score either field goals or extra points in both American and Canadian football.

Goalkeepers are allowed to pick up balls in their penalty area, but they are not allowed to do so when the ball has been purposely kicked to them by a team-mate. Instead, goalkeepers are to play the balls with their feet.
An own goal cannot be scored from a goal kick; in the highly unlikely circumstance that the ball enters the kicker's own goal before being touched by another player, a corner kick is awarded. A player may not be penalized for offside directly from a goal kick.

All items of jewellery (necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, leather bands, rubber bands, etc.) are forbidden and must be removed. Using tape to cover jewellery is not permitted. The players must be inspected before the start of the match and substitutes before they enter the field of play.
