The fight between the two – and their dragons – was violent and cost them both their lives. As Daemon's body was never found, rumor has it that he actually ran off with Nettles, his lover. Eventually, it's Daemon and Rhaenyra's two
Rhaenyra's second son with Prince Daemon would also later rule as King Viserys II Targaryen, as both sons of his brother Aegon III, Daeron I and Baelor I, later died without issue.

Rhaenyra and Daemon's sons Aegon, Viserys, and Visenya Targaryen. Sorry for the spoiler, but we did watch Daemon and Rhaenyra get married in last week's episode, so you probably knew this was coming! We haven't seen them yet in the show, but Daemon and Rhaenyra have three sons together.
Rhaenyra's children are bastards, and Vaemond finally let everyone know in Episode 8, as loudly as he possibly could. For that, he lost his head, though Daemon let him keep his tongue. Obviously, the true parentage of Rhaenyra's children is a big deal.
Alas, the baby did not survive and while it wasn't shown very well on camera, there were debates among fans whether the baby was normal-looking or deformed.
In Fire & Blood, Rhaenyra and Daemon have two children of their own, named Aegon and Viserys. (They also had a daughter, Visenya, but she died at birth, as we saw in the House of the Dragon finale.) The boys live quite a long time — in fact, Aegon and Viserys would both go on to occupy the Iron Throne in the future.
Nonetheless, Rhaenyra and Daemon's youngest son becomes King Viserys II Targaryen, with the crown passing through his line. New episodes of House of the Dragon release Sundays on HBO/HBO Max.
The comes the final blow: Rhaenyra's baby daughter – whom they'd named Visenya, according to George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood – is stillborn after a brutal, bloody labor. This is similar to the book, where the baby also has dragon-like birth defects, including a hole in her chest and a small tail.
Rhaenyra cradles her daughter and weeps. Though the Silent Sisters come to prepare the body, Rhaenyra wraps her child in funeral cloths by herself. Visenya is cremated on Dragonstone just as Ser Erryk Cargyll arrives with the crown of King Viserys I, and Rhaenyra is crowned queen at her daughter's funeral.
“The Princess and the Queen” opens up with Rhaenyra giving birth to her third child, another boy. Laenor decides they'll name him Joffrey after his late lover who Criston beat to death right before he and Rhaenyra wed.
After the assassination plot against Laenor Velaryon, which led to the widespread belief that he had been killed (though a brief scene at the end of "Driftmark" reveals that he and his romantic partner, Ser Qarl, have fled Westeros), Princess Rhaenra married her uncle Daemon, and they have had two children, Aegon III ...
In 117 AC, Rhaenyra gave birth to her third son, whom Laenor named Joffrey, in honor of Ser Joffrey Lonmouth.
Eventually, it's Daemon and Rhaenyra's two sons who end up sitting on the Iron Throne, but is that for a future series? The Velaryons survive, but in recent years Ser Corlys has come to support the Greens, after falling out with Rhaenyra and being accused of treason (unfairly).
In the Season 1 finale of the “Game of Thrones” prequel show, Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) fulfilled the promise of the villain energy he's been giving off. He killed Rhaenyra's son, Luke (Elliot Grihault), which is a game changer.
He was recovered by Oakenfist in 134 AC, and after a huge ransom was paid to the merchant princes of Lys, Viserys returned to King's Landing. Aegon had never forgiven himself for abandoning his brother during the Battle in the Gullet, and so Viserys's return was the only true joy he had in his reign.
He died during the Storming of the Dragonpit trying to ride Syrax, his mother's dragon, in order to save the dragons in the Dragonpit, but the dragon rejected him and he crashed to the ground, dying instantly.
Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) and Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) finally had sex on House of the Dragon. After teasing their deep connection for weeks, making out in a brothel, and flirting their way through King's Landing, uncle and niece at long last did the dirty.
A new, detailed image of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen's stillborn baby prop from House of the Dragon's Season 1 finale has been released. A detailed image of House of the Dragon's Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen's stillborn baby has been released, and it is truly unnerving.

Aegon and Rhaenyra fought for the throne in the civil war the singers called the Dance of the Dragons. Aegon later died over Dragonstone in the final year of the war, after defeating his half sister and ending the Dance.
Rhaenyra's eleven year-old son, Aegon the Younger, was crowned king, and married to Aegon II's daughter and only remaining child, Jaehaera Targaryen, uniting the claims.
Daemon strangled Rhaenyra because he felt betrayed by Viserys. “It's a moment that I think is surprising and shocking for Daemon as a character, but I also think it's one of those things that's been set up over the course of the entire season.
However, she was confined to her chambers in the last year of her life, and in the books, she goes insane and dies during an outbreak of Winter Fever in 133 AC. Prince Daemon marries Rhaenyra following the death of his second wife, Laena Velaryon, and they have three children.
Soon after being widowed, Daemon and Rhaenyra marry each other in secret when he is 39 years old, and she is 23. Their marriage causes a huge scandal at court and another rift between Daemon and Viserys, but it is eventually accepted. The couple has two sons together, Aegon and Viserys.
