Folks in the Stone Age had those larger jaws and beautiful teeth because they lived on a diet of meat and vegetables that they hunted and gathered every day. Eventually, farms came into the picture, and people started to learn different ways to prepare, cook, and store food.
But it turns out that we actually have less healthy teeth than our ancestors. In fact, archaeologists say that prehistoric humans had much better teeth than we do today. It all started with farming, says Alan Cooper, the director of the Australian Centre for Ancient DNA.
Some of the early techniques in these cultures included chewing on bark or sticks with frayed ends, feathers, fish bones and porcupine quills. They used materials like silver, jade and gold to repair or decorate their teeth.

Fossils from the Australopithecus species reveal some of the earliest dental caries from 1.1 million to 4.4 million years ago. Paleolithic and Mesolithic skulls also show signs of cavities. The Paleolithic period took place roughly 3.3 million years ago, and the Mesolithic period began around 8,000 BC.
One week without brushing:
As soon as a week goes by, your teeth' enamel will start to break down. The plaque that hasn't been removed will make it easy for bad breath to grow. A dirty tooth will make it hard to clean.

After death however, teeth become the most durable part of the body, which explains why they are often found with ancient skeletons. "Teeth decay easily in life, but once death occurs it stops," says Dr Lazer explaining that the bacteria that cause dental decay cannot survive after death. "Teeth tend to survive well.

We may never know if Elizabeth had non-platonic relationships with any of them, though no evidence has ever conclusively proved that she took lovers or companions before or after taking the crown.
According to a new book, the Queen Elizabeth II covertly battled a particularly terrible kind of cancer in the final years of her life. A future biography of Her Majesty authored by a close friend of Prince Philip stated that the Queen had bone marrow cancer, with bone pain being the most prevalent symptom.
Analyses based on double determinations showed that measurements in all study samples were reliable to an accuracy of 0.1mm. The Southern Chinese sample was found to have the largest teeth overall, whereas the Romano-British sample generally displayed the smallest mesiodistal crown dimensions (p<0.001).
Ohaguro means simply to blacken the teeth. It's an old custom that was very popular centuries ago among most married Japanese women, members of the aristocratic class, and samurai. It was considered a status symbol to have blackened teeth. The traditional method used was to soak iron fillings in tea or sake.
Neanderthals are known to have had large anterior teeth marked by strong shoveling, marked labial convexity, and prominent lingual tubercles, as well as postcanine teeth with enlarged pulp chambers (taurodontism) (Fig- ure 1).
