Bane was to originally appear, alongside Darth Revan, in the third season episode "Ghosts of Mortis" as an influence to The Son, an embodiment of the dark side of the Force. Although George Lucas commissioned the scene, he later cut it before the scene could be fully animated.
Revan is depicted as a former Jedi who, along with his best friend Alek (later Darth Malak), left the Order to lead the fight in the Mandalorian Wars due to the Jedi's inaction. One year after the end of the Mandalorian Wars, Darth Revan and Malak returned to Republic space at the head of a massive invasion fleet.

There has been no Sith, as powerful, meticulous, nor as evil as the Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. As previously mentioned, Sidious trained in the Dark Side by Darth Plagueis before Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep, making Sidious a Sith Master.

MakingStarWars revealed that Moses Ingram will be playing an inquisitor known as The Third Sister: Reva in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ miniseries. The character's name is a tribute to Darth Revan who served as the main antagonist in the first two Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic video games.

Bane was also forced to create a special helmet and mask that he wore while he slept, in order to prevent the orbalisks from eventually growing over his eyes, nose, and mouth and smothering him.
Truly, the most powerful Sith Lord was Darth Sidious, better known in his public persona of Chancellor (later Emperor) Palpatine. Through cunning and manipulation, Sidious killed his master to claim the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith.
