Junichi (純一 Junichi?)[citation needed] is a Titan and the soulmate of Hange Zoë appearing in the gag preview of Volume 6 in Volume 5 of the Attack on Titan manga.
Hange normally uses the neutral first-person pronoun watashi. Hange's voice actress, Romi Park, has also mentioned being instructed to bear in mind Hange's gender ambiguity when voicing them.
In the anime, Hanji identifies as female; fans of the manga also believe Hanji to be a female, however, the author hasn't confirmed Hanji's gender. He claims the gender doesn't define the character.
