Harry makes use of two of the Unforgivable Curses in the books. Dueling with Bellatrix Lestrange, he attempts the Cruciatus curse, with limited results; Bellatrix says that he has to really hate someone to make the Unforgivable Curses work properly, righteous indignation isn't enough.
The darkest of the Dark Arts, Harry Potter unforgivable curses are the Cruciatus Curse, the Imperius Curse, and the Killing Curse. Although the curses are highly illegal, Harry using Unforgivable Curses happened, but he uses them once he was thrust into the Second Wizarding War.
Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
Harry used an Unforgiveable Curse two times; and only one of those times was in an unjustifiable way.
Because it's not a crime unless you get caught. Every time Harry casts an unforgivable curse it's in a situation in which there are no witnesses. For instance he uses Crucio against Snape on top of Hogwarts Castle. The only witnesses is Snape, a Death Eater and a murderer.
And the third, the Killing Curse, is named by Hermione; Moody mentions that it can't be blocked, and only one person is known to have ever survived it: Harry Potter. Harry makes use of two of the Unforgivable Curses in the books.
Cruciatus Curse ('Crucio')
Harry tried to use this spell himself. The first time was against Bellatrix after she had killed Sirius. His attempt was unsuccessful because, as Bellatrix mockingly explained: 'You need to really want to cause pain – to enjoy it – righteous anger won't hurt me for long…'
History Of Avada Kedavra
The Killing Curse was created in the early Middle Ages by Dark witches and wizards. Primarily, the curse was used to quickly slay opponents during a duel.
They are the Killing Curse, Avada Kedavra, the Cruciatus Curse, Crucio, and the Imperius Curse, Imperio.
If Avada Kedavra is an unblockable curse, why didn't Dumbledore just kill Voldemort when they met in the Ministry of Magic? beCAUsE ItS dArk MAgiC.
Her sacrifice gave Harry the power of love, a protection spell sealed with the blood spilled by her death.
The reason it is described as unblockable is that the use of the shield charm is ineffective against a killing curse, as explained by fake Alastor Moody in Goblet of Fire. You can, however, protect yourself by summoning physical shields like Dumbledore did in the Battle of the Ministry of Magic.
Draco Malfoy (Cruciatus and Imperius Curses)
He's never seen using the Killing Curse, but under strict orders from Voldemort, he's known to have used the other two.
Harry became so enamoured with the spell that he eventually used it to finish off Lord Voldemort. Here's how Harry's relationship with Expelliarmus became his signature – and why that's a good and bad thing.
The three Unforgivable Curses in Harry Potter are Crucio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra, and all three are available to Hogwarts Legacy players. Crucio subjects the victim to extreme torture, while Imperio puts them under the control of the spellcaster.
Avada Kedavra meaning
Used mostly by Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters, it's used to kill people. Rowling claims she created this spell out of a popular “Abra-Kadabra” saying in Aramaic which means “Let the thing be destroyed”.
In order to conjure the avada kedavra curse, you have to want to kill your victim. We all know that Voldemort could easily kill a child without an ounce of remorse... but not Snape. Snape didn't want to kill Dumbledore, and this was why the spell was blue instead of the usual green.
I've always suspected Molly's lethal spell was a particularly well-placed and powerful stunner that stops Bellatrix's heart, which is consistent with the description of her death: Molly's curse soared beneath Bellatrix's outstretched arm and hit her squarely in the chest, directly over her heart.
The most sinister of the Unforgivables is Avada Kedavra – the Killing Curse – an incredibly powerful spell and a favorite of Lord Voldemort's. Nobody knows exactly how this curse works, suffice it to say that it ends life in an instant.
Speak to Sebastian in the Undercroft after this and he'll teach you any Unforgivable Curses you have missed up to that point, including Avada Kedavra. It's worth learning the curse as doing so should have no negative outcome on the game's story.
As much as Bellatrix loves Lord Voldemort, she equally hates Harry Potter, considering him the greatest threat to Voldemort and his plans. She will do anything to assist the Dark Lord's desire to defeat Harry.
Helena Bonham Carter said that her character was afraid of Harry because she couldn't understand how a young boy was capable of overpowering Lord Voldemort.
5 HARRY CAN'T BEAT: Bellatrix Lestrange Is A Prodigy
No matter his rage and grief, Harry doesn't have what it takes to defeat Bellatrix. Bellatrix is Voldemort's most loyal and most powerful Death Eater of all, and she claimed many victims in Voldemort's name.
