If you watched “Breaker of Chains,” the Game of Thrones episode that aired Sunday night, you were probably shocked by a scene in which Jaime Lannister rapes his twin sister, Cersei, by the body of their dead son, the murdered kinglet Joffrey.
Jaime, however, has remained faithful to Cersei and has never slept with another woman. Despite sharing a deep bond with Brienne – which many have suggested is an unacknowledged love for her – he has only ever consciously loved his twin sister.
Cersei has been involved in an incestuous affair with her twin brother, Jaime, since childhood. All three of Cersei's children are Jaime's, which is unbeknownst to Robert. The rumored illegitimacy of her children causes a power struggle in the wake of the king's death, known as the War of Five Kings.
But in the process of trying to reason with his sister, Tyrion may have unintentionally turned the tide in Daenerys' favor. Earlier in the episode we saw Cersei tell Euron that she was pregnant and that he, not Jaime, was the father.
So we know that Cersei had sex with Jaime at least once before her wedding (on the morning of her wedding as it happens). So given that she had no way of knowing Robert would be drunk to the point he wouldn't remember such things, how did she plan to explain it?
When speaking with Edmure, Jaime compares Catelyn Stark to Cersei and says he admired her. Not for her honor, but because of the love she had for her children. Jaime claims he would murder again and again if he had to, all for Cersei.
Brienne of Tarth and Jaime Lannister had sex on Game of Thrones season 8 episode 4. Earlier in the episode, it was revealed that Brienne was a virgin. Here's how fans reacted to the sex scene.
Brienne loves Jaime because she's seen the good in him, and he shows her the respect she craves. Jaime loves Brienne because she brings out the best in him and makes him feel like a worthy man. You can see in every look, word, and touch how they feel about each other, and yet, each are burdened by emotional baggage.
In the final season of Game of Thrones, Brienne of Tarth suffered a blow. After she was rightfully knighted by Jaime Lannister, the two finally consummated their relationship — but then he promptly left her to go back to his twin, Cersei, with whom he was in an incestuous relationship, and died in his sister's arms.
She had a duty to protect not only King Bran, but she also had the duty to protect the rest of the royal family and their allies in the general vicinity. To accept the sacred duty, Brienne had to swear to new vows, but in doing so, her oath to Catelyn and Sansa officially ended.
“Tell me, if your precious Renly commanded you to kill your own father and stand by while thousands of men, women and children burned alive, would you have done it?” He asked Brienne. “Would you have kept your oath?” Jaime had lived with this shame for 17 years.
Many Game of Thrones fans were left incredibly bereaved when Jaime Lannister decided where he wanted to make his last stand. As the series finale approached, it seemed that Jaime would end up with Brienne of Tarth.
So you all know the story, Jaime was supposed to marry Lysa, then Cersei intervened, Jaime joins the Kingsguard, yadda yadda, 2 dead Kings and 2 wars later and Tywin becomes hand again, gives Jaime a Valyrian Steel sword, and wants him to step down from the Kingsguard, take up his place in Casterly Rock, and find a ...
After sleeping with Euron, Cersei seems like she wasn't entirely displeased (“you're not boring, I'll give you that”) but didn't want Greyjoy to stick around either. Euron also made a reference to hoping to get Cersei pregnant, but viewers know she already secretly is (with another child from Jaime).
It helps to remember the whole timeline, which is easier when you read the books. When Jamie met /married Claire, he was a 23 year old virgin, and they were together three years before she went back through the stones pregnant with Brianna in 1746.
When Cersei has an affair with Lancel Lannister, their cousin. Cersei sleeps with their cousin Lancel throughout seasons one and two. Lancel does everything she asks him to, including causing the death of King Robert. In season five, Lancel confesses the affair and the death of Robert to the High Sparrow.
Jamie's Secret is a story about a nine-year-old who loves soccer, playing with her best friend Sadie, and collecting crystals. She loves hugging and climbing trees, watching butterflies, and soaring on her swing. Jamie loves life and everything that points to it.
Among these is one moment in season three when Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan) slept with Mary McNab (Emma Campbell-Jones). The scene took place after Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) returned to the future shortly before the Battle of Culloden after Jamie feared for the safety of his wife and their unborn child.
According to Jaime, Tywin still had his sights set on a Targaryen match, either hoping to betroth Cersei to young Prince Viserys or hoping for Rhaegar's new bride, Elia Martell, to die in childbirth. When Cersei was fifteen, Jaime visited King's Landing after receiving his knighthood.
Jaime and Brienne Kiss In 'Game of Thrones' – Season 8 Episode 4.
A large number of named "Game of Thrones" characters lived until the end, including some surprising people we hadn't seen in many seasons. Howland Reed, Illyrio Mopatis, Lollys Stokeworth, Ser Ilyn Payne, Archmaester Ebrose, and Hot Pie are all presumed to be alive, along with 31 other characters.
Following the Great War, Podrick was knighted and named to King Gendry Baratheon's Kingsguard, where he continued to serve under Brienne after she was named Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.
It's been reported that Martin confirmed that word was "sword". A lot of rumors turn into "fact" on messageboards and forums, so let's examine this "fact" a little more closely.
Fans had long suspected that Jaime and Brienne have real feelings for each other. And on season eight, episode four, "The Last of the Starks," they finally slept together.
