She eventually asked Dr. Nako to remove it, but the doctor couldn't erase it entirely, leaving a visible scar; the scar had been caused from both Nami repeatedly wounding herself in the arm and the indelible nature of the tattoo.
Originally, Nami's tattoo was a symbol of her being a part of the Arlong Pirates. Later, she stabs herself repeatedly in a moment of desperation to separate herself from being basically owned by the Fishman. This causes her to get a large scar on her arm. After removing the tattoo violently, she sees Dr.
The tattoo consists of a shark and two bones in the background. This was the pirates' emblem and was tattooed onto all of the members of the Arlong Pirates. Even Nami was forced to have it on her arm as a mark of allegiance.
Tangerine on a pinwheel to represent Bellemare, her mother & Genzo, the closest thing she had to a father. And it covers the Arlong era Fisman Pirates tattoo.
Before One Piece's Arlong Park arc, Nami wore shirts that properly covered her shoulders up. This is due to the fact that her left shoulder bore the Jolly Roger of Arlong, the pirate responsible for the death of Bellemere.
Fanservice. It's the same reason why Robin wore a swimsuit through the Dressrossa arc. Nami wasn't there, and Oda wanted to give us fanservice. Many people want to see fanservice in animes, and the writer gives them that and gets a lot of money for it.
Usopp, however, only ends up seeing Nami completely naked and pervertedly thanks her for "letting" him see her naked, confusing Chopper.
Measurements source
The author has also replied to a fan's question saying that right now Nami's measurements are as follows: Measurements (B-W-H): 95-55-85 cm = 37-21-33" He specified in a later SBS that Nami's under-bust size is 65 cm, making her breasts an I-cup in Japan, or an F-cup in the US."
As the series progressed, Nami developed feelings for Luffy. There may not be a proper romance between them, but it's evident that she cares about him more than anyone else in the crew.
In the Post-War arc, one of the Five Elders stated that "D." means danger. After the timeskip, Law mentioned the Will of D. once more when Doflamingo asked him why he had so much faith in Luffy. After visiting Laugh Tale, Kozuki Oden mentioned that he and the Roger Pirates had learned the meaning of the D. name.
Series creator Eiichiro Oda has previously answered the question of whether or not Nami has a love interest. One Piece SBS Volume 34 confirms that it's not really a priority. While romance does exist within Shounen manga, it's rarely considered a major story beat. The One Piece series is no different in that regard.
Throughout the series, Nami is commonly seen wearing a shirt or bikini top, a skirt and high-heeled sandals. Nami often wears blue tattoos throughout the course of the series; the first is a symbol of Arlong's crew which is later removed and replaced with a symbol of a tangerine and pinwheel on her left bicep.
Post-Timeskip
After the two year timeskip, Nami's hair has grown rather long, reaching down to her lower back.
Why did Nami blush when Luffy got kissed? Nami blushing was clearly an indicator that she sees the kiss as something sexual, she is not neutral or disgusted, thus she shows her own attraction. Brook also blushed while showing his interest in Reiju and saying he wanted a kiss too.
Nami (Akemi Okamura)
Also known as Cat Burglar Nami, the young navigator became known for stealing huge sums of cash from pirates. Initially, she only joined Luffy's crew to scam him to earn money to buy her hometown from the pirate, Arlong, but joins Luffy's crew for real after Luffy defeats the fishman.
The Five-Day Disease is a zoonotic disease caused by a bite from the tick Kestia. Nami caught this disease during the crew's stay in Little Garden, and was later cured by Kureha and Chopper in the Drum Castle.
Throughout his journey Luffy has made strong bonds with numerous women. At least two have fallen in love with him, Alvida and Hancock, whilst another two have become enamoured with him, Rebecca and Shirahoshi. Nami, Robin and Vivi all share close and deep bonds with Luffy and have become some of his closest friends.
1 Boa Hancock
She is cruel and manipulative. Boa uses her beauty to gain others' forgiveness after acting inhuman. Still, Boa Hancock is the one who most likely will end up with Luffy because fans are still excited by the idea.
It turns out Oda's wife is a real-life version of Nami, one of his most popular characters. In One Piece, Nami is the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates. When she meets Luffy early in the series, she becomes the third member of the crew, insisting it will only be a temporary partnership.
Bell-mère was a former Marine and the adoptive mother of Nami and Nojiko, introduced in a flashback during the Arlong Park Arc. She raised the two girls for approximately nine years until she was murdered by Arlong.
Boa Hancock still leads the pack with a 111 cm bust which is nearly a solid 44-inches. Zoro comes in just under that though still ahead of Nico Robin at 100 cm.
Nami - 135. she s rather canny but she also weather scientist; Chopper - 120.
Due to his innocence and lack of interest in human females, Nami lets Chopper (despite him being a male) see her naked in the bath and even invites him to join her.
Absalom first appeared on the Thousand Sunny while invisible, where he kept Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Sanji, Nico Robin, and Franky from setting foot on Thriller Bark. He later attacked Nami while she was bathing in the bathroom in Hogback's mansion, though he left when Usopp and Tony Tony Chopper interfered.
These measurements were mentioned in the anime during the Thriller Bark Arc. After the timeskip, in SBS Volume 69, her height is 170 cm (5'7½"), and her measurements are B98-W58-H88 (38"-22"-34"), making her breasts a J-cup in Japan.
