As a human, Nezuko seems to be reasonably bright person. After becoming a demon, she seems to have regressed to the mental state of a small child (or even an intelligent pet) and is mostly non-verbal. In contrast, most demons seem to be at human-level intelligence and can talk, even the “lesser” ones.
Due to her demon abilities, Nezuko can change her size/age and appear “mature” in a slightly older form or can even make herself look younger and smaller than a 12-year-old. Anime is weird and demon stuff only makes it weirder.
The muzzle serves as a representation of Buddhist practices. First, it gags Nezuko, preventing her from speaking like a Buddhist monk's vow of silence, but it also is there to suppress her desire to eat humans. Through a Buddhist lens, Nezuko's muzzle is the symbol of a Buddhist monk.
Nezuko Kamado, the younger sister of the main protagonist Tanjiro, has undergone a significant transformation since her introduction in the first season of the hit anime series Demon Slayer.
Nezuko shrinks to fit inside that wooden backpack or to evade demon slayer swords, and nothing else. So, Nezuko's size can change either way to reflect her emotional state and instinctual needs,. Her size-changing isn't merely a visual gag or a fun party trick.
Nezuko and Bipolar Disorder Nezuko's caring personality changed after her family was slaughtered by the home invasion. Nezuko developed Bipolar Disorder due to the mental and physical stress that was put in her body.
Nezuko would be far stronger than Tanjiro in the base form in terms of pure physical abilities. But Tanjiro gained superhuman strength and speed owing to the activation of the Demon Slayer Mark. Comparing the two in these forms, Nezuko might still outperform in terms of speed and strength.
However, in later volumes, the muzzle is removed and she gains the power of speech in volume 22 then remembers everything and gets her human thoughts again and remembers her name, albeit very broken due to not speaking for more than two years.
His search came to an end when he discovered that Zuko was able to withstand the sun. While this is a great plot point, fans are confused as to how a demon whose main weakness is the sun can survive it. This is why Kamado Nezuko was able to stand in the sun despite being a demon.
In episode 6 of Demon Slayer season 2, Nezuko entered a berserk state to protect her brother Tanjiro, causing her body to develop into that of an adult. She loses her gag, grows a single horn and gains vine-like patterns across her body.
Unlike other demons who survive on blood, Nezuko never really needs it, and she doesn't even consume human food either. Moreover, Nezuko has never shown any signs of undernourishment as she is always ready to assist her brother with her overwhelming strength and deadly Blood Demon Art.
Nezuko remembers asking their mother about the song when she was a child, causing her to break down in tears.
Nezuko, the young sister of the main protagonist Tanjiro, has a special Blood Demon Art called Exploding Blood that allows her to ignite her blood into pink flames and even summon it from thin air. Two years pass between Seasons 1 and 2 of Demon Slayer, which means Nezuko is biologically 14 years old during the "Entertainment District" Arc. However, due to the time she spent sleeping in the wooden backpack, she is still mentally only 12.
It is theorized that Nezuko was able to conquer the Sun because she comes from a lineage of Sun Breathing users and because she kept a big part of her own humanity i.e. because she never ate human flesh.

The Wind Hashira is one of the strongest Hashiras in the Demon Slayer series. He played a significant role in defeating Kokushibo and was able to inflict damage on Muzan. Sanemi's sheer power and speed will be able to overwhelm Nezuko even in her final form.
So, in conclusion, her coming from a Sun Breathing user's lineage and not relying on human substance are perhaps the reasons for her immunity. Hence, Muzan was searching for the Blue Spider Lilly, a flower that was a crucial ingredient in the medicine used by the doctor who saved his life.
Since he didn't know anything about the Blue Spider Lily medicine, he needed others to find the plant for him by happenstance. This is the general reason why Muzan turned Nezuko into a demon. More specifically though, was the fact that Nezuko was of Kamado blood.
Nezuko Origin and Meaning
The name Nezuko is girl's name meaning "red bean child". This demon name from the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, was one of the highest debuts of 2021, when it was given to 20 baby girls.

Ultimately, Nezuko survives and finally turns into a human after being stuck as a demon for so long. Despite turning into a human, she's one of the prime reasons why Tanjiro could defeat Muzan, even after almost being turned into a demon himself.
The young Tanjiro is not only one of the greatest demon slayers, but thanks to his kind nature, he's also one of the most honorable characters of the series. Tanjiro not only showed selflessness and love towards his sister and the people he cared for but even showed kindness towards his demonic enemies.
