Voorhees knew that
On June 13, 1946, at age 16, she gave birth to a hydrocephalic boy and she named him Jason (as shown in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday).
Jason Voorhees, still alive and living in the woods nearby, witnessed his mother's death and began a bloody crusade of vengeance against anyone who dared to trespass on his territory. He collected his mother's head and placed it on a shrine in his own cabin.
Jason watched as his mother killed the counselors one by one. Jason then saw one counselor behead his mother. The counselor took a canoe out into the lake; Jason came up from behind and pulled her into the lake to drown her, but she survived.
Jason's Mother real name wasn't revealed until Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter. Pamela was born in the 1930's and no specific month or date was given and if she would have been alive she would have been around 93 years old. The original Friday the 13th (1980) film only had her as Ms.
Diana Kimble (nee Voorhees) was Jason Voorhees's half-sister and the mother of Jessica Kimble. Diana, a longtime employee at Joey B.'s Diner, was killed by her own half-brother in 1993 before her corpse was used to give new life to his body.
Free Jefferson is a character from the novel Jason X: To The Third Power. He is also the son of Jason Voorhees and Sarah Jefferson. While at first unaware of his parentage (his mother having kept it secret from him) Free discovers he is Jason's son and the result of a genetic experiment conducted by Prof.
Jason begins killing those who occupy Crystal Lake, and after a battle with Tina, is dragged back to the bottom of the lake by an apparition of Tina's father. Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) sees Jason return from the grave, brought back to life via an underwater electrical cable.
As Mike and Whitney explore the abandoned Crystal Lake camp, Jason begins to kill the rest of the group one-by-one. Jason also kills four of the friends, but instead of doing the same to Whitney he decides to kidnap her because she resembles his mother.
“I believe Jason's initial killings in Friday the 13th Part 2, before finding his iconic mask, are the cause of his Dissociative Identity Disorder,” TylersSoap explains.
Noticing her resemblance to his mother, Jason decided to spare Whitney, but kept her locked up in his underground lair. Weeks later, after breaking down over the loss of his mother, Jason noticed the locket on Whitney's neck and took it from her.
Likewise, director Tom McLoughlin chose not to have Jason harm any of the children he encounters in Jason Lives, stating that Jason would not kill a child, out of a sympathy for the plight of children generated by his own death as a child.
At age 11, he seemingly drowned in Crystal Lake, but survived and killed people who trespassed at Crystal Lake though he killed Alice Hardy in revenge after witnessing said camp counselor kill his mother, Pamela Voorhees, who had previously killed several camp counselors.
Kane Hodder may be one of the most well-known Jason portrayers, mostly due to how many times the actor was featured in the series. Hodder played Jason Voorhees in four different installments from Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood to Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday.
Under the sack-mask, Jason rocks a full head of Hagrid-esque hair and a bushy beard that covers much of his face. His over all appearance looks equally inspired by The Hills Have Eyes and Deliverance.
Afterwards, she goes to the lake to relax before Pamela regains consciousness and attacks her once again with the machete. The two struggle to kill each other, but Alice gains the upper hand and decapitates Pamela Voorhees with her own machete, killing her and avenging the deaths of all the people she had killed.
The "ch ch ch ah ah ah" also conveys the idea that Pamela is actually hearing Jason's voice in her head as she's killing victims. Like the shark theme in Jaws, this whispering let audiences know that Friday The 13th's killer is actually around, even though they can't be seen.
Over the years, the Friday the 13th franchise has undergone several changes, but Jason Voorhees' refusal to harm children or animals has remained consistent. While it's uncommon for slasher villains to have a moral code, Jason's kill rule suggests that he has his own, twisted understanding of right and wrong.
This worm-like creature is known as Hellbaby, and it is responsible for keeping Jason from feeling pain. In one of the movies—Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives—Jason also became a zombie, so he is essentially immortal.
His demonic powers grant him immortality, though the movie reveals his soul is housed inside a parasitic being dubbed a "Hellbaby," so when his body is blown up in The Final Friday's opening scene, this creature jumps from host to host in search of a new permanent home.
Thanks to his immortality, Jason is also able to stay a young and strong man forever. Throughout the series, he doesn't age and his abilities never falter. This is partly due to his powers of regeneration. Jason can regenerate any lost or damaged tissue at an accelerated rate.
Total kills
Since Jason's first murder in Friday the 13th: Part II--in 1981--he's killed 163 people, and even more if you count the people aboard the space station blowing up in Jason X or those who died when the ship sank in Jason Takes Manhattan.
An early script draft for Jason Goes to Hell was going to introduce Elias Voorhees Jr as Jason's brother, not his father; an individual who was actually more evil than Jason. Elias is set to make his first on-screen appearance in the fan film Friday the 13th: Vengeance and will be played by C.J.
When anyone thinks of Jason, the image of the iconic hockey mask instantly comes to mind. However, for the fans, the face behind the mask is always a highlight. Usually saved until the climactic final act, Jason's face is revealed, and over the course of eleven movies, each unmasked Jason is unique to each film.
