Tanjiro Kamado, the series' protagonist, has mastered all ten forms of the Water Breathing technique, each of them equally deadly and effective depending on the situation and enemy.
Tanjiro makes use of Water Breathing for most of the series. Taught to him by Sakonji during his training in the mountains, it is one of the five main styles derived from Sun Breathing.
Tanjiro doesnt know this because the 11th style is an original attack created by Giyu Tomioka but somewhere in the episode they said that every user can be able to have its own unique extra form.
As mentioned by Tanjiro in the first episode of the Entertainment District Arc, he knows how to perform Hinokami Kagura. However, he is still far away from mastering the technique in the anime. Well, in the manga, does master the Sun Breathing style.
He realizes that his body is not suited for the Water Breathing technique, and is more suited to using the Hinokami Kagura moves.
During the Entertainment District Arc, when Tanjiro was completely exhausted, he combined his Sun Breathing with Water Breathing to save Hinatsuru from the grasp of the Upper Six. This also made him the only known Demon Slayer who is capable of combining two Breathing Styles.
Sakonji Urokodaki is one of the playable characters in Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles. A former member of the Demon Slayer Corps, Urokodaki is Tanjiro's master and he was also the master of Sabito and Makomo before they died.
He is a former member of the Demon Slayer Corps, as well as the previous Water Hashira. He is also the teacher of Tanjiro Kamado, Giyu Tomioka, Sabito, and Makomo.
Since Kiriya Ubuyashiki announced the disbanding of the organization, Tanjiro doesn't get the chance to become a Hashira. The series also features an extended finale set in modern-day Japan.
The Thirteenth Form of the Sun Breathing Style is unique in the sense that it doesn't really have a name of its own. Rather, it's a combination of all the twelve forms present in this style, used in succession to maximize their power. This move was devised by Tanjiro solely to defeat Muzan.
Tanjiro attempts to combine all the forms to perform the Thirteenth Form by using the Sun Breathing: Dance and Raging Sun but is thwarted midway during Fire Wheel and is pushed back yet again. Unfazed, Tanjiro says he will connect all the forms as that's how they were designed to be and resolves to succeed.
It is possible for a swordsman to use more than one Breathing Style technique at a time, allowing the user to take advantage of the advantageous aspects of both techniques. Tanjiro Kamado, for example, can use both the Water Breathing and Sun Breathing styles simultaneously.
In the far chapters of the Demon Slayer manga, Tanjiro is actually turned into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji. Muzan does this to continue his demon legacy and live in this world even after being dead. He chooses Tanjiro over everyone else as he considers him the perfect one to carry on his legacy.
7/10 Fourth Form: Striking Tide
The very first Water Breathing technique shown by Tanjiro during the Final Examination arc is the fourth form. After taking a moment to focus on his breathing technique, Tanjiro deftly rotates his body in a full circle and unleashes two strong horizontal attacks.
Mitsuri Kanroji is another Hashira who Tanjiro could definitely beat in Demon Slayer. Mitsuri's main trick up her sleeve is her muscle composition, which makes her muscles eight times denser than that of a normal human's. In other words, she's incredibly strong and powerful, and tough with plenty of endurance as well.
Tanjiro awakens his mark for the first time while fighting Upper Rank Six, Gyutaro, which granted him the physical strength needed to behead the Upper Rank and later awakened it while unleashing the Dragon Sun Halo Head Dance technique against Hantengu's clones.
Unfortunately, the answer to this question would be, no, he did not. Zenitsu, along with Tanjiro and Inosuke got way stronger than average corps members with training. In fact, he became one of the very few to even invent a new form of Thunder Breathing. However, his dream of becoming a Hashira was never realized.
When it comes to pure strength, Shinobu Kocho is the weakest Hashira in Demon Slayer. She doesn't even have enough strength to decapitate a demon's head and she makes up for it by injecting poison into the demons.
Jigoro was the instructor of Zenitsu and Kaigaku as the former Thunder Hashira. Kaigaku managed to master all of the Thunder Breathing Forms except for the first Form, meanwhile Zenitsu had only managed to master the first Form and none of the others due to his inexperience.
The black blade represents the Sun and is surrounded by prejudice and misconceptions, as historically every demon slayer who held it lived a short life. This could mean that Tanjirou is destined to break the pattern and set a new legend for black Nichirin blades in the Demon Slayer universe.
Hotaru first appears at Urokodaki's house to deliver Tanjiro's Nichirin Sword after the latter passes the Final Selection. Despite Tanjiro's frequent requests for him to enter the house, Hotaru ignores him and sits outside the door, describing the blade he forged.
Appearance. Sakonji's face has never once been revealed or depicted throughout the entire completed manga; he is always seen wearing a tengu mask that covers his entire face although Tanjiro states through a Taisho Secret that Sakonji's face is very gentle and calm.
