Although Kelsey Grammer and the rest of the human ensemble immediately come to mind when talking about Frasier, the show wouldn't be the same without
Fans of Frasier, the popular Cheers classic television spinoff series, know well that Kelsey Grammer's Frasier Crane character did not get along with his father's Jack Russell Terrier pup, Eddie. Even from the series premiere, Grammer's character makes this clear.
Moose, the celebrity Jack Russell Terrier most famous for his role as Eddie on the television sitcom Frasier, earned around $10,000 per episode, for a net worth of approximately $3.2 million.
But Grammer notes that Eddie was already recast during the show's run -- Moose played him from 1993 to 2000 before his son Enzo took over until the show ended in 2004.
John Lithgow turned down the part of Frasier Crane in 'Cheers' when he was going through a “snobbish” phase.
One member of Frasier's cast received more fan mail than anyone else: Eddie the dog!
David Hyde Pierce studied classical piano before becoming an actor. When you see Niles playing on Frasier, you can see he's really playing!
The final season of Frasier aired in 2004, so it's safe to assume Niles was earning less than the $260,000 figure at that time. In 2004, the average psychiatrist in private practice would have earned around $180,000 per year.
LOS ANGELES -- The scrappy dog known as Eddie on television's "Frasier" has died. The 16-year-old Jack Russell terrier, whose real name was Moose, died Thursday of old age at the Los Angeles home of trainer Mathilde Halberg, she told People magazine.
I can now reveal what they were actually drinking. . . it's Harvey's Bristol Cream. In Season 6 episode 9 Frasier decants a distinctive blue bottle.
Maris Crane is Niles Crane's wife for much of the series, though she is never fully seen onscreen (much like Norm Peterson's wife, Vera, on Cheers). She is the most notable of the show's never-seen characters, and often the subject of many jokes. Her family is not revealed on the series.
Located in the fictional Elliott Bay Towers, the three-bedroom, three-bath luxury condo has view of the Space Needle and Seattle skyline so amazing, it's no surprise that it's entirely fictional. The backdrop image used was actually taken at Kerry Park and would be impossible from any real condo.
Also like his brother, Niles is highly intelligent. His IQ is 156, well over the Mensa threshold, and much higher than Frasier's (129).
'Eddie' Was Played by Moose and Enzo
Moose won the role on Frasier after only six months of training. Moose's ability to fix Kelsey Grammer with a long stare became a running gag on the show. When Moose had to lick his co-stars, however, things like sardine oil were applied to the actors' faces.
Eddie was played by two dogs during the run: first by Moose, and then by Moose's son Enzo, who first appeared as a stunt double. Eddie is known for responding to Martin and Daphne with human-like understanding, but often seems to taunt Frasier.

A spacious bachelor pad with three bedrooms and three bathrooms was looking extra good, as were the soothing beige tones of the 1990s. I'm hardly the only one taken with Frasier's space.
While Kelsey Grammer has never publicly stated how much he has earned from his time on Frasier, we can make some assumptions from what we do know. We are aware Grammer was paid $1.6 million per episode for the final two seasons of the show, earning him around $38 million per season, or $76 million total.
Unlike many other series where characters' pregnancies were written in to accommodate the actress becoming pregnant in real life, this was not the case with Roz. Hers was purely a storyline invention, Peri Gilpin was not pregnant in real life.
Frasier Locations
This fabulous series was not shot in Seattle, as the show suggests, but filmed on sound stage sets in Los Angeles. There is only one exception to the filming rule in Frasier, which is the 100th episode called 'The 1000th Show' on the series. The 1000th Show was episode 5 of season 5.
The baby that Niles and Daphne have at the end of the show is not a result of a real life pregnancy of Jane Leeves, the actress who plays Daphne. However, she was pregnant earlier in the show. In season 8 the actress got pregnant and it was simply written into the show as a weight gain.
A brief look at the TV series Frasier, where the cast discuss their favourite episodes. The programme was followed by Kelsey Grammer's favourite, 'Our Father Whose Art Ain't Heaven', introduced by him.
He exhorts Niles to help him resist temptation, particularly when she goes to dinner with them wearing a very revealing new dress. Ironically, after getting drunk, it is Niles and Lilith who sleep together in her hotel room.
