After two successful warm-up lifts of 420kg and 460kg, Thor then managed to lift 501kg - 1kg higher than Hall's record.
Bjornsson broke the world record for heaviest deadlift in 2020 by pulling a staggering 501kg, which broke Hall's record just to add to the spice. But dropping weight and refocusing his training, Bjornsson is now pulling a little less than half of that.
Hafthor Bjornsson successfully pulled 501kg/1,104lb — the heaviest deadlift ever recorded!
Bench press (raw) – 230 kg (507 lb) (Íslandsmót 2011) Deadlift (raw) – 350 kg (772 lb) (Íslandsmót 2011)
Only 2 Men have EVER managed to lift a 500KG + DEADLIFT. Eddie HALL & Hafthor BJORNSSON (out of competition).
In just a t-shirt he pressed 354.7kg (782lb) at the 2020 Arnold Sports Festival. The equipped division of bench press has provided the heaviest lift in any powerlifting discipline and the only performance in excess of 600kg.
The Guinness Book of World Records (1985 edition) lists his feat of lifting 6,270 lb (2,840 kg) in a back lift as "the greatest weight ever raised by a human being".
Godlike strength: Thor has limitless strength and can power himself even more by charging himself with lightning. He was able to bend Captain America's shield, then bend it back perfectly back to shape. He's the second strongest Avenger. He is the mightiest.
Superhuman Strength: Thor possesses class 100 strength and is easily capable of lifting 100 tons. Superhuman Durability: While in the form of an Asgardian Goddess, Thor possesses virtual invulnerability and immunity to all known Earthly diseases and infections.
In terms of the power to lift and move large objects, Superman has a stronger edge against Thor. Thor may have been able to move objects that weigh as much as planets, but the Silver Age Superman not only pushed actual planets out of orbit all the time, but even went so far as to move entire galaxies on a whim.
Thor is Immortal, Not Invincible
Thor is more or less immortal, granted the gift of everlasting life, thanks to his Asgardian genes and his special diet of the Apples of Idunn. In Avengers: Infinity War, Thor revealed that he was over 1500 years old.
Godblast: This is Thor's most powerful attack, it fires a blast of concentrated godly essence/energy from Mjolnir that far exceed's Thor's normal capabilities. This blast has the power to kill immortal beings as well.
Notably, many of Thor's greatest feats have to do with lifting or throwing entire planets out of orbit (or objects that weigh as much as planets). He lifted the World Serpent – a creature weighing trillions of tons, using only his strength and a magic fishing rod.
At the height of his strongman days, Bjornsson weighed a colossal 205kg, or over 32-stone or 450lb. During that time, he won the world's strongest man twice, the Arnold strongman classic twice and a number of European and Icelandic tournaments.
UNLIMITED STRENGTH
The answer; there isn't one. The amazing thing about the Hulk is that unlike nearly every other superhero ever created, the Hulk's strength has absolutely no upper limit. He can lift a commercial airplane – which weighs around 100 tons – when he is at his calmest; that's no problem for him.
And Mathaudhu can cite documentary sources to back him up. For example, Marvel – which publishes the Thor comics – issued a “Thor's Hammer” trading card in 1991 that states Mjolnir is made of Uru and weighs precisely 42.3 pounds. That's lighter than a herd of 300 billion mice, much less a herd of 300 billion elephants.
Assuming a proportional relationship between grip strength and what the average male American can lift, back-of-the-envelope math suggests Thanos could heft 120 million pounds, 10 million pounds more than the weight of the Titanic.
The most powerful Thor variant is Ultimate Thor, who's real name is Thorlief Golmen. Golmen discovers he is the most recent reincarnation of Thor Odinson and begins his journey as the new God of Thunder. This version of Thor was less reliant on Mjolnir as a power source.
Thor, son of Gods, has enhanced longevity, augmented by the Golden Apples of Idunn. He also possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability and immunity to most diseases.
Great Power. Like his namesake, Spider-Man's strength and agility stand far above those of the average human, allowing him to lift nearly ten tons and to leap and move at incredible speeds with high accuracy.
Super human, not superhuman
A person exhibiting hysterical strength is reckoned to have lifted at least 3000lbs (or about a tonne and a half) – the ballpark weight of a mass-market, non-truck, passenger vehicle.
When Spencer Mather lifted more than 1,000 pounds over his head, it wasn't the strenuous physical demands that challenged him. “Most people think this was just a physical challenge, but the truth is, it has a very large mental aspect to it,” Mather said.
With the right training plan and enough dedication, just about any man can achieve it at just about any age. Indeed, Hugh Jackman became a member of the 1,000-Pound Club at 46 by performing a 355-pound squat, a 235-pound bench press, and a 410-pound deadlift.
