Th very first Sith used Jedi colored protosabers before being disarmed and exiled. Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma wielded Blue and Green sabers respectively. Darth Vader used his blue lightsaber until after the duel on Mustafar. Darth Caedus used his green lightsaber for quite a while too after turning to the Dark side.
Usage and history
This blue-bladed lightsaber belonged to the Sith Master Darth Sidious after his resurrection on Byss. Darth Sidious using the lightsaber to battle Luke Skywalker. In his lab on the Imperial throne-world, Darth Sidious kept a number of stolen Jedi lightsabers if he needed them.
Why are Sith forbidden to have Blue or Green Lightsabers? Sith are traditionally associated with the color red for their lightsabers, as it represents the dark side of the Force.
Black lightsabers are extremely rare in the Star Wars universe, and only a few have been seen on screen. These lightsabers are typically associated with the Dark Side of the Force and wielded by Sith or Dark Jedi. The most well-known black lightsaber is the Darksaber, which was created by the first Mandalorian Jedi.
After pledging himself to the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, Anakin Skywalker took the name Darth Vader but continued to use the blue-bladed lightsaber he'd fought with during the Clone Wars. He lost this weapon on Mustafar and constructed a replacement with the crimson blade favored by the Sith.
Originally the weapon had a blue blade, but after his destruction of the Jedi Temple and fall to the dark side in 28 ABY, Ren modified it into one with a red blade.
After defeating Vader in a duel on Mustafar, Obi-Wan Kenobi took Anakin's lightsaber with him into exile on Tatooine. Obi-Wan gave the lightsaber to Anakin's son Luke, who used it in taking his first steps along the Jedi path.
Red lightsabers are the weakest, according to a Star Wars study conducted at the University of Leicester regarding lightsaber colors. Decades of Star Wars lore has dictated that the red lightsabers favored by The Sith offered greater offensive capabilities than the softer colors favored by The Jedi.
He is the only known Sith lord to wield a purple blade, as most Sith saw it as an affront to the order. Revan is a complex character because he was retrained as a Jedi after suffering a bout of amnesia. He would then battle the same Sith empire he helped create.
The unique shape of the blade also allows for different combat styles and techniques, making it a versatile weapon in battle. The Darksaber has been in the hands of some of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars universe, including Mandalorian warriors, Sith Lords and even a Jedi.
Both sabers were capable of being wielded underwater, as demonstrated during the Battle of Mon Cala. When Anakin Skywalker returned the lightsabers to Ahsoka Tano prior to the Siege of Mandalore, the blades had become blue due to his tinkering with the weapons.
Lightsabers are cinematic icons, having appeared in every Star Wars movie since 1977's A New Hope, when Luke Skywalker first fired up the blue blade entrusted to him by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. The blue color wasn't arbitrary.
Despite their biologic nature, rainbow gems could be used as lightsaber crystals. Tenel Ka Djo, the Princess of Hapes, had a tiara of rainbow gems worth the price of an entire solar system. She used some of the crystals in her second lightsaber, after her first one malfunctioned and led to the loss of her arm.
The Skywalker lightsaber, also known at various times as Anakin's, Luke's, and Rey's lightsaber, was a blue-bladed Jedi lightsaber constructed by Anakin Skywalker—Jedi Knight and prophesied Chosen One of the Force—during the final years of the Republic Era.
Silver Lightsabers
In Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi uses a silver lightsaber when he faces off against his former apprentice, Darth Vader. This represents the end of Kenobi's time as a Jedi and the beginning of his new role as a protector of peace.
Darth Sidious, also known as the Emperor and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, is not just the evilest Sith in Star Wars (arguably in both canon and Legends) but the evilest villain overall, deemed so thanks to his irredeemable actions throughout the Skywalker saga and surrounding content.
As the first Dark Lord of the Sith, Ajunta Pall founded the first Sith Empire and expanded it onto other worlds. The Sith took over the planet Ziost and created it as their capital and as Pall's new home.
The Firebrand was a basic design of lightsaber hilt that was used by Jedi Initiates as well as Knights of the New Jedi Order as of 14 ABY. An all black hilt, it was known to have a stable grip and was equipped with a thin deflector ring to protect the wielder from energy backlash.
Form VII: Juyo (or Vaapad)
Form VII is the last known form of lightsaber combat and is known to be the most aggressive. Jedi Master Mace windu is the main Jedi known to use this form of combat because Form VII is the most aggressive and only the most Force-sensitive individuals can execute this form successfully.
Black is the rarest lightsaber color in the world of Star Wars. For a while, the only known black lightsaber was the Darksaber, forged a thousand years ago and owned by a Mandalorian Jedi. However, the High Republic era revealed that at least one more Jedi had a black lightsaber.
This can be seen in the novel starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rogue_Planet. It's because of his mastery of sorsue (sorry for my bad spelling.) Well if you want the ACTUAL reason it because in the original 3 films the Green Light Sabre didn't exist until after Obi Wans death.
A crystal embodies the Jedi as the heart of the lightsaber, and pure kyber has no color until it's bonded to the Force user. This process likely resulted in Rey Skywalker's lightsaber being yellow.
Rey's lightsaber was a yellow-bladed lightsaber that was constructed by the Jedi Rey Skywalker following the First Order-Resistance War.
