With Messages in iCloud, anything you delete from iPhone is also deleted from your other Apple devices where Messages in iCloud is turned on. Deleting messages changes only your own Messages conversations, not those of your recipients.
Unfortunately, you cannot delete a message from both your and the recipient's iPhone once it is sent using the default iMessage or SMS app. However, some third-party apps like WhatsApp or Telegram allow you to delete messages from both sides within a specific time frame.

In addition to the requirement of having iOS 16 to 'unsend' a message using an iOS device, Apple advises in Use Messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support that "If you unsend a message to someone on an older version of iOS, iPad OS, or macOS, your contact might still see the message."
All of your deleted text messages can be found in the Messages app. To find your trashed messages, open Messages and tap the Filters option in the top left of your text threads. Here you can filter your text messages by known senders, unread messages and more. However, the option we want is Recently Deleted.

Time Limit for Deleting WhatsApp Messages
Unlike the normal delete that works all the time, there is a time limit in using Delete for everyone. You can unsend messages within an hour of sending them only. After that, you will not see the Delete for everyone option.
Open the chat or group where the message was sent and long press to select it. Then go to the delete option and you will see the 'delete for everyone' option. Step 5: Delete that message. And now turn off the Airplane mode.
Restart the Messages app.
Open the most recently used apps (go to the Home screen and swipe up from the bottom of your screen or double-press the Home button if you have a Home button), find Messages and swipe it up. Then open the Messages app again and try to delete conversations again.
WhatsApp's upcoming update will extend the time limit for 'Delete for everyone' feature from one hour, eight minutes and 16 seconds to two days and 12 hours. Also Read: Hyundai Tucson merges luxury & technology to redefine mobility: 29 first and best-in-segment features.
