A person's eligibility for the age pension is continually reassessed. So any major change to a person's income or assets—including having a loan repaid or having to pay out a loan on behalf of someone else—can affect the ongoing rate of pension they receive.
Loans made by a person are assessed as financial assets, and are deemed. They may therefore affect your income support pension or payment under the assets or income tests.
We'll deduct any debt you owe that your asset is security for, from its market value. If you got an unsecured loan specifically to buy the asset, we may also deduct this loan from the value of the asset.

It replaces the “Jobactive” system that required the “mutual obligation” of applying for 20 jobs a month for payments to continue. You must now instead earn 100 points a month through a variety of activities, including applying for jobs, attending courses and even working.
You can ask to have the amount paid all at once or in 2 instalments. The lowest and highest amounts change along with pension amounts each March and September.
Different lump sums are treated in different ways by Centrelink. A lump sum is any one-off amount of money that you may receive for a variety of reasons.
