Most women will admit they prefer a man that is 6′ or taller but being tall can also be a fantasy. Women might dream of that tall man, but when it comes down to it, they'll date the person who makes them feel loved and cherished, no matter the height.
On average, women have a strong preference for tall men. In fact, women care more about dating taller men than men care about dating shorter women. A study on women's and men's height preferences found that women are most satisfied when their partner was 8 inches (21cm) taller.
The second part of the study involved 54 men and 131 women recruited from a US university whose answers to an online survey corroborated the previous findings, with more than half (55 percent of females) expressing a preference for taller men, and 37 percent of men preferring shorter women.
Women often prefer tall guys because they're portrayed as masculine in the media. Tall women will often go after tall guys because they feel comfortable when their partner is similar to them. A lot of tall guys prefer short girls, so they tend to seek each other out.
This new research revealed that men were taller than their female partners in 92.5% of the actual pairings, which is more often than expected on the basis of chance. Ladies also tend to look for a fellow who's not too much taller than they are, a preference that was also reflected in the results.

The simplest way to conclude if you're tall or not is to look around you. If you're in the US, compare your own height to the North American average for men, which is 5'9″ (177 cm). If you are 5'10” (178 cm) or taller, you are considered taller than average in North America.
A good and ideal height for men is 5′10–11.″ It's above average but not too tall. According to The Journal of Sexual Medicine, shorter men have more sex than their taller counterparts. More specifically, in a study with 531 heterosexual guys, “coital frequency was higher among men with a height of less than 175cm” (just under 5'9”).
Nevertheless, Lean Pockets do claim, at least by name alone, to be somewhat easy on the waistline. Which is a good thing, because, according to a new trending study, heterosexual women may be more attracted to men who are thin. Not surprisingly, 9 out of 10 belts agree.
And it's not just because they think fat guys are funny or cute. In fact, women love fat men for a number of reasons grounded in science, ranging from the assumed trustworthiness of fat dudes to increased sexual stamina that extra pounds bring.
