Lower-income pensioners who claim pension credit will receive the money in addition to the £650 support for those on benefits.
From 20 September 2022 the maximum full Age Pension increases $38.90 per fortnight for a single person, and $58.80 a fortnight for a couple.
This boost, announced in October's Federal Budget, will see the income cap lifted from $7,800 to $11,800 for eligible pensioners before their pension is reduced. Eligible pensioners will receive a one-off $4,000 boost to Work Bonus balances from 1 December, 2022.
The Government has provided two separate $750 payments to social security, veteran and other income support recipients and eligible concession card holders. Around half of those that benefit are pensioners.
A one-off $250 Cost of Living Payment will be paid to eligible recipients from the end of April 2022.
When will they receive the payment? Eligible recipients will receive the payment in April 2022.
Introduction. If you're a pensioner currently receiving support through Centrelink, you may be eligible for extra help with bills and medicine costs through the Pension Supplement. A 10 per cent increase to the Old Age Security (OAS) pension for seniors 75 years and older, which began in July 2022, and will provide more than $800 in new support to full pensioners over the first year, and increase benefits for more than three million seniors.
Carer Supplement is an annual $600 payment and is paid in July each year to recipients of Carer Allowance for each person being cared for.
The £300 payment will be made on top of Winter Fuel payments, which in late 2022 were made to nearly every pensioner who turned 66 born before September 26, 2022. The latest change announced was a 3.1% rise which came in with the new tax year – starting on 6 April, 2022.
The September RPI figure is 4.9% and it is expected to increase in December to around 6%. However, there is a cap on the maximum guaranteed increase that will be paid. The increase for Old Benefits members is capped at 10%, for New Benefits members it is 5% and for Career Average Benefits members it is 2.5%.

Currently (as at 1 April 2022) the grant is R1 980 per month. Over 75's receive an extra R20 for a total of R2 000. Although the grant is increased every year, the increases are minimal.
Anyone receiving the State Pension will get what's known as a Christmas bonus. The extra £10 cash is tax-free and usually paid just before Christmas.
So today, automatically, there's an extra $4,000 credited. "It means that pensioners over the next 12 months will be able to do extra work without having their pension affected." The increased Work Bonus income bank will be in place until December 31, 2023 and is available to pensioners over the age pension age.
Seniors aged 75 and over will see an automatic 10% increase of their Old Age Security pension, as of July 2022.
In April 2023 pensioners will receive an additional £300 on top of this year's payment. You will qualify if you were born on or before September 25, 1956, but it's not yet known whether households will qualify for the extra payment if they normally receive the Winter Fuel Payment.

The amount you'll get includes a 'Pensioner Cost of Living Payment'. This is between £150 and £300. You'll only get this extra amount in winter 2022 to 2023. This is in addition to any other Cost of Living Payments you get with your benefit or tax credits.
