(The term "polyamory" comes from the Greek word "poly," which means many, and the Latin word "amory," which means love.) Note that polyamory simply means you're open to the idea of loving more than one person; a person with one partner can still be polyamorous.

As the name implies, a quad refers to a relationship with four people. You can also have a full quad, where all four members are romantically or sexually involved with one another.
Are they ever jealous? In the vast majority of polyamorous relationships, jealousy does come up at some point.
It's not uncommon to be attracted to more than one person at the same time. But whether or not you act on those feelings won't only affect you. If you want to date more than one person, make sure that everyone involved understands this and is okay with it. Also, be sure beforehand that you can handle it.
Such rules, as well as the commitment to being honest, are what make a polyamorous relationship feel like a place of safety and trust. To ignore these boundaries, then, could be described as a form of cheating – or at the very least a sign of disrespect.
Does that mean they're actually happier? They could just be willing to avoid bad situations and are not necessarily any more satisfied than monogamous people. Interestingly, both poly and monogamous respondents in the study reported being equally as happy in their marriage.
The usual suspects: Incompatibility and resentment
Maybe the third person who enters the relationship doesn't get along with either of the two partners. There may be a lack of acceptance, recurring resentment and arguments. As a result, things won't go too smoothly in the long run.
It's virtually impossible to know how many Australians are living polyamorous lifestyles, but if US academic studies are anything to go by, about 5 per cent, or, 1.2 million Aussies are foregoing monogamy for non-traditional partnerships.
You have multiple crushes or romantic interests at any given point. If you've had crushes on multiple people since you were young and have trouble choosing between them (think Devi in "Never Have I Ever"), you might be polyamorous.
Many polyamorous arrangements involve one “primary” couple and a “secondary” partner. Primary relationships last 8 years on average, while secondary relationships make it around 5 years.
Loyalty, then for polyamorists, can be defined as growing old together, caring for that person, being honest and respecting the commitments they've made in their relationship. Polyamory is not an excuse to cheat on your partners.
It is possible to be in love with or have feelings for more than one person, and it may even be a common occurrence. If you're in this situation, it may be helpful to decipher which person you have stronger feelings for and decide how to proceed from there.

Creating and maintaining multiple non-monogamous relationships is demanding, it takes organisation and excellent communication and time management skills in order for it to work and can consume huge amounts energy in order for it to stay working.
Rather, people in healthy polyamorous relationships may view jealousy as an indication of deeper personal problems, like feeling insecure or inadequate. When they feel jealous, they confront that emotion head on in order to keep their relationships honest and strong.
Increased Intimacy, Romance, and Love
The most obvious benefit of polyamory is the opportunity to develop deep, intimate, romantic and sexual relationships with multiple people. To not have our capacity for love to be stifled by a partner, and not to stifle a partner's capacity for love.
Emophilia is defined by a tendency to fall in love quickly and often, which is associated with rapid romantic involvement. However, questions linger as to how it is different from anxious attachment, which also predicts rapid romantic involvement.
Crushing on a girl in a relationship is common, but confessing your feelings is risky: she might reject you, and it could affect your friendship. Or she might reciprocate and end her relationship.
