Affiliation. The immortal gods of the Sith were a pantheon of deities worshipped by the Sith and their servants. After the Battle of Endor, the Sith Lord Darth Vader's servant Vaneé called upon them when conducting a ritual to resurrect Vader.
A Sith cult was a cult comprised of Sith cultists that followed the Sith religion and worshiped the dark side of the Force. Some cults would worship one or more specific Sith Lords and practice their teachings, sometimes even with the goal of resurrecting the Sith Lord.
Sidious was the Dark Lord of the Sith during the last years of the Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire.
1. Darth Sidious (Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace) Truly, the most powerful Sith Lord was Darth Sidious, better known in his public persona of Chancellor (later Emperor) Palpatine. Through cunning and manipulation, Sidious killed his master to claim the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith.
Religions of the Force are dogmas that are devoted to the Force. The most common examples of Force religions are the Jedi and the Sith, where the Jedi follow the light side of the Force and the Sith follow the dark side.
Even though Kylo Ren uses a red lightsaber, harnesses the dark side of the Force, and wears a cape, he is not a Sith. Because of that, he can never hold the title of Darth. Instead, he was just a chaotic mess of the dark side (until he eventually found his way back to the light).

As the first Dark Lord of the Sith, Ajunta Pall founded the first Sith Empire and expanded it onto other worlds.
Tulak Hord. An emperor of the early Sith Empire, Tulak Hord was an unrivaled force wielder and dualist. Known by many as the 'Lord of Hate' and 'Master of the Gathering Darkness'.
N'Kata Del Gormo was a Force-sensitive male Hysalrian Jedi Master who lived during the times of the Galactic Republic. According to legend, he found and trained Yoda and a Force-sensitive Human friend.
Jedi and Sith alike fear the loss of power, but the Sith choose to harness that fear as a source of strength.
Development. Originally, George Lucas conceived the Sith as a group that served the Emperor in the same way that the Schutzstaffel had served Adolf Hitler. In developing the history for The Empire Strikes Back, Lucas condensed this into one character in the form of Darth Vader.
Formed many millennia prior to the Clone Wars, Sith were once part of the Jedi Order, a group of beings who wielded the Force and were dedicated to peace through using the Light Side of the Force.
Darth Sidious, also known as the Emperor and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, is not just the evilest Sith in Star Wars (arguably in both canon and Legends) but the evilest villain overall, deemed so thanks to his irredeemable actions throughout the Skywalker saga and surrounding content.
Darth Maul
Darth Maul is without a doubt one of the coolest Sith we have ever seen. Trained from a young age by Darth Sidious, Maul possesses fantastic skill with both the Force and lightsaber combat. This allowed him to take on two Jedi at once and beat both of them in combat for a short time.
Jedi Master Yoda is the most powerful of them all. This should come as no surprise, as he was the head of the Jedi Order in the prequels and was revered for his abilities during the original trilogy. Yoda's power is unmatched and was a real threat to Darth Vader and the Imperials.
Lekauf was extremely loyal, to both Darth Vader and the Galactic Empire. He risked his life in multiple instances to defend his master, who admired this loyalty and rewarded Lekauf for it. As a result, Lekauf grew even more willing to defend Vader.
Introduced in the first film in the original Star Wars trilogy, Governor Tarkin is the Grand Moff of the Galactic Empire and commander of the Death Star.
Mas Amedda – Grand Vizier of the Imperial Ruling Council and Vice-Chair of the Imperial Senate, later installed by Gallius Rax as puppet leader following Palpatine's death in Aftermath: Life Debt. Amedda formally surrenders the Galactic Empire to the New Republic in Aftermath: Empire's End.
There are dozens of canon Jedi in the Star Wars universe. Opposing them stand the canonical servants of the Dark Side of the Force: The Sith. While many Sith Lords are mentioned, only six are detailed in canon: Bane, Plagueis, Sidious, Maul, Tyranus, and Vader.
Star Wars Confirms Yoda Turned to the Dark Side - and Almost Became the Most Powerful Sith Lord. With the aid of Count Dooku, Yoda could have potentially destroyed the universe if he had gone to the dark side in Star Wars.
Snoke Is Not a Sith Lord
He was never given one because he isn't technically a Sith Lord. But the fact that he's a bio-engineered being created by Palpatine explains why his training of Kylo Ren followed the Sith mold so closely, since all along Palpatine was trying to manipulate Ren.
