Violet and Pete try to make it work but Violet doesn't want him to hate her as he did hate his deceased wife. The two agree to amicably separate.
She asks Cooper to be her maid of honor, but his objective side meddles to such a degree that seeds of doubt are planted in Violet's head and she proceeds to bolt from the ceremony. Pete follows her and without saying a word, he convinces her to take a leap of faith and the two finally get married.
Violet Turner is a psychiatrist at Seaside Health and Wellness. She was married to Pete Wilder until his death and together they have a son, Lucas.
Their relationship was strained for a while until Pete discovered that Violet had changed and that she was a good influence on Lucas and him. After Dell's death, Pete and Violet decided to get married.
Viewers may recall that the physician died of a heart attack while jogging through Los Angeles' Runyon Canyon. He had been out of jail on bail after his arrest for ending the life of a patient who was being kept alive by machines. Shonda revealed that the table read detailing Pete's death was a tough one.
In the season six premiere, Pete's last act did involve going for a run—only it wasn't out of the country. On the morning of his hearing, Pete sent Violet a text saying that he'd gone for a jog, and that he loved her no matter what—a.k.a. the thing a character does right before he or she dies.
They convince her to allow the child to be examined by a doctor and Katie is subsequently arrested. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Naomi and Addison were able to save both Violet and the baby and the two return home so Violet can begin to physically and emotionally recover from the trauma.
After he was born, his mother had trouble bonding with him, so she gave him to his father, who then raised him for most of his first year. After Violet got treatment and started to feel like she could be a good mother, they began to share custody and then got married shortly thereafter.
While attending Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Naomi met Derek Shepherd, Addison Forbes Montgomery, Mark Sloan, and Sam Bennett. Eventually, Naomi married Sam and had a daughter, Maya.
Violet never married again, and treasured the true love she shared with Edmund.
After telling Fife her decision about moving back east, Naomi decides to adopt Betsy.
Violet realizes that after dramatic events in her life she can't bond with her baby and gives Lucas to Pete, asking him to take care of the baby. Sheldon then filed a paternity suit but the results reveal that Pete is the baby's father.
Personal life. In the beginning of season 1 it is suggested that Cooper is in love with Violet Turner, his best friend and a psychiatrist at Oceanside Wellness. Cooper is often ridiculing Violet for her continued infatuation with her ex-boyfriend Alan.
When she realizes who she's been communicating with, she is initially horrified, but ultimately the two end up establishing a sexual relationship. When Cooper realizes that Charlotte is running the opening of Pacific Wellcare Center, upstairs and a direct competitor of Oceanside Wellness Group, he breaks up with her.
Charlotte and Cooper stay together and eventually have a Vegas wedding. Her relationship with Cooper took kind of a blow when she found out that Cooper has a son and Charlotte tried to pay Mason's mother to leave them alone, but they eventually reconciled.
Addison briefly attempted to have a relationship with Mark, which resulted in her becoming pregnant. She then had an abortion soon after she discovered that Mark cheated on her, and as she was still in love with Derek. She then moved to Seattle.
She adopted the child she'd always wanted in the show's fifth season. And in the series finale of “Private Practice,” Addison married Jake (Benjamin Bratt), a fellow doctor at the practice.
Three months later, Naomi returned to L.A. where Sam, oblivious to the fact that Naomi was pregnant, declared his love for her and that he had always loved her. Naomi revealed her pregnancy to him and the two reunited and re-married.
Much like her mother, Violet becomes a mom at 17 herself, but she decides to give her daughter up for adoption in "Sonograms and Tube Tops", stating that she doesn't want to end up being the same type of parent that her mom is and her grandmother was.
The parenting love triangle between Pete, Violet and Sheldon reaches a new boiling point when Sheldon finds out that Violet gave her baby, Lucas, to Pete. Sheldon demands a paternity test and Violet, who still cant feel anything for her new son, just agrees.
Charlotte finally gave birth to the rest of those triplets, completing her family with Cooper and giving Baby Georgia the opportunity to meet her siblings Caroline and Rachel. While she was in the hospital, Charlotte got to have a moment with virtually every doctor, in a very "the end is almost here" way.
James Peterson is an emergency medicine attending at St. Ambrose Hospital whom Charlotte King hired to replace Pete Wilder after his death.
Private Practice ended after Kate Walsh's exit, and the declining ratings in season six prove that the series was cancelled at the right time.
After Maya and Dell get into a car accident, Addison operates on her to try and save her and her unborn child. The operation is successful and Maya gives birth to Sam's newborn granddaughter Olivia. Sam and Addison finally get together in the season 3 finale.
