All Eldians are capable of becoming titans, regardless of their sex. Hypothetically, it seems nonsensical for a pure titan who is male to avoid eating Annie simply because she is the Female Titan.
What if a male eats the female Titan? Then he inherits the female Titan. The reason why its called the Female Titan is because it always looks female, regardless of who is the inheritor.
Annie was praised as impeccable for her fighting abilities and was later chosen as one of seven promising candidates to inherit the power of the Titans. She was later granted the power of the Female Titan in accordance with her stellar combat skills.
Annie Leonhart
Annie is easily one of the coolest characters on the show, which is why it's a shame that she hasn't appeared since her capture at the end of the first season. She's also the only known inheritor of the powerful Female Titan.
After her identity was revealed, which resulted in her defeat by Eren Jaeger and Mikasa Ackermann, she crystallized herself into a coma to protect herself and the secrets that she held from being unraveled. Until her escape four years later, Annie was retained by the Survey Corps [Chapter 34, Volume 8].
8 Annie Was Chosen To Inherit Her Because Of Annie's Martial Arts Abilities. Due to Annie's experience in martial arts, Marley decided that she would be a good user of the Female Titan. At the same time, Marcel, Bertholdt, and Reiner were chosen to be the Jaw Titan, Colossal Titan, and Armored Titan, respectively.
After these seventeen centuries when Karl Fritz, the 145th king of the Fritz family, abandoned the conflicts of Eldia and relocated to Paradis Island, the Female Titan was taken by the nation of Marley during the Great Titan War. Around the year 843, Annie Leonhart was chosen to inherit the power of the Female Titan.
Why can't Annie's Titan talk? While Titans are unable to speak -- with some exceptions -- and they rarely make a sound, several of the Titan Shifters have shown they can talk. While Annie's Female Titan, like her human self, is not talkative, she does have a gift with her vocal chords.
This is despite the fact that Annie acknowledges later being aware that leaving Armin alive would likely lead to him being able to use his wits to identify her as the Female Titan and thus potentially jeopardizing her mission. However, her growing feelings for him caused her to allow him to live.
If a pregnant woman was turned into a Pure Titan and then became a shifter, it is likely that the fetus would be destroyed. If a woman who already had the Power of the Titans got pregnant, like Annie for example, then interestingly, they could carry the pregnancy on just fine.
After closer inspection, and as the Titan gradually comes closer, they both realize it is Dina, the exact same Titan that devoured Eren's mother five years prior. As Dina approaches Eren and Mikasa, Hannes arrives to stop her.
He would be able to call Mindless Titans, perhaps gain a boost to his regeneration abilities and endurance, and would now have the ability to assume the abilities of other Titans if he consumes pieces of them. He unfortunately wouldn't develop Annie's svelte figure, though.
Not much is really known about Annie after her defeat, she has cried twice throughout the series (the second time is a spoiler) but from what evidence we can gather is that she saw that her mission was a failure and was saddened by it.
It could possess the abilities of the other Nine Titans, such as hardening and being able to control normal and abnormal titans. Throughout the manga, there was only one character that had inherited the Female Titan, Annie Leonhart, though there were many who came before her.
Female Titan
The Female Titan's powers include agility, speed, and a scream used to attract — but not control — nearby Titans. She can also create a crystal case around her human form (an ability known as hardening), and she has been residing inside this case for nearly a decade while she is comatose.
Because it is impossible for anyone to surpass the Founder, each person who gained the power of the Titans was fated with the "Curse of Ymir" (ユミルの呪い Yumiru no Noroi?), which limited their remaining lifespan to only 13 years after first acquiring it.
Bertolt Hoover
Bertolt has been in love with Annie since they were children, and both were Warriors from Marley alongside Reiner. It's unknown if Annie knows about Bertolt's feeling towards her.
Some Intelligent Titans can talk while others cannot. Those who cannot talk have mouths that physically prevent them from proper speech, such as Eren's. The ones that can talk include Ymir, Zeke, Pieck Finger, and Lara.
Annie is genuinely selfish, due to having been abandoned at birth and being used as a tool by everyone she has ever known, even by her adoptive father who wanted a better life for himself through her. She has no interest in protecting strangers due to being unattached to most of humanity to an absurdly high degree.
Manga. The Female Titan (女型の巨人 Megata no Kyojin?) was one of the Nine Titans and possessed the ability to easily mimic the attributes of the other Titans. It could also selectively harden parts of its skin and attract Pure Titans with its screams, possibly due to its aforementioned mimicry ability.
Armin leads Eren, Mikasa and Annie to a tunnel, but Annie refuses to enter. Armin finally reveals his suspicion that Annie is the Female Titan, noting that she used Marco's omni-directional mobility gear to kill Sawney and Beane and that the Female Titan did not kill him during the 57th Expedition.
For Hesiod, possibly in order to match the twelve Olympian gods, there were twelve Titans: six males and six females, with some of Hesiod's names perhaps being mere poetic inventions, so as to arrive at the right number.
We know that a titan shifter contains enough spinal fluid to distribute their powers to at least 3 people (although this might vary person to person). So if Maria, Rose, and Sina each had 3 people evenly consume their spinal fluid, there would be nine shifters (each holding ~1/9 of Ymir's power).
Founding Titan is the first and the strongest Titan of all the nine. If the Founding Titan is someone from Royal Bloodline, then it will possess limitless power. Eren Yeager was not someone of royal blood that's why he asked for Zeke's help to use the Founding Titan to its fullest.
