Ben is able to save both April and her daughter's lives, while Arizona makes amends with Callie and allows her to move with Penny and share custody of Sofia.
After Callie discloses her desire to move to New York with Penny and take her and Arizona's daughter, Sofia, with her, Arizona takes Callie to court for sole parental custody.
We also learned Callie and Arizona decided to have a baby—and then lost it—post-plane crash, around the time that Meredith was very, very pregnant and had sausages for toes. So back when Arizona said "You didn't lose anything" and we assumed she'd been referring to her leg….
After finding a donor, Callie misses Arizona's ultrasound — and they learn that Arizona lost the baby. It sends Arizona into a downward spiral where she has no choice but to feel her loss — of their unborn baby and her amputated leg — all over again and she begins to pull away from Callie.
Meredith opened the door to Arizona, who was awarded sole custody. She and Sofia happily headed home.
Shortly thereafter, he reconciles with Lexie, but is delighted when Callie discovers she is pregnant with his child. Lexie, however, is dismayed and angered by the news and leaves Mark once again. Mark takes quickly to fatherhood when his daughter, Sofia, is born.
Thursday's episode featured the former couple in a bitter custody battle for their daughter Sofia that ended with Arizona gaining full custody.
The reason Arizona won that custody battle is because she was the better person to raise Sofia. Callie decided to run off to New York with her girlfriend of a few months and thought it would be fine to drag her child across the country, away from all her friends, away from her school, and away from her other mom.
After an impassioned speech to a judge, Callie is officially adopted by the Adams-Foster family. While initially upset by Connor's choice, Jude decides to support him after hearing Callie tell the judge about how much having a loving family means to her.

Sofia Robbin Sloan-Torres (born May 13, 2011) is the daughter of Callie Torres and the late Mark Sloan (1968—2012), as well as the adoptive child of Arizona Robbins, who has sole legal custody of the child.
Seasons. Baby Sloan is the biological child of Sloan Riley and grandson of Mark Sloan. He was adopted by Trish and Keith shortly after his birth.
They decided to try again for a second child, but after agreeing that Callie would carry it, Callie went to see an OB/GYN and discovered that she had developed adhesions in her uterus since Sofia's birth, meaning she can't carry any more children.
Arizona struggled with her situation and ultimately did everything she could to push Callie away, including having an affair with Dr. Lauren Boswell. They attempted to stay together by buying a house and trying to have a second baby, but Arizona miscarried.
Sophia ripped up Callie's adoption papers that Robert had signed, as she wanted Callie to be her sister and live with her. This led to a huge falling out between the sisters.
For those unfamiliar, Callie and Arizona are the parents of an 8 year old child whom they have shared custody of since their divorce on the prime time medical drama based in Seattle. Recently, Callie's girlfriend received a job offer in NYC precipitating Callie's request to move with the child.
She was married to George O'Malley, but divorced after he cheated on her. She currently resides in New York with ex-wife Arizona Robbins, with whom she has a daughter, Sofia Robbin Sloan Torres.
Callie's mother says she doesn't want to hold the baby because she's still eating. To be fair, if you were really hungry would you rather hold a fork in your hand or a baby? (That's a trick question for Hannibal Lecter.)
She gives birth to a boy, named Samuel Norbert Avery, and he died a few hours after birth because of his sickness. In the following weeks after Samuel's death, April and Jackson find it hard to be around each other and be intimate with one another.
Season 14, episode 23: April nearly died
Jackson prayed for her and promised to believe in God if she lived. His prayers were answered. After her near-death experience, April made a hasty decision to marry Matthew and leave Grey Sloan.
They lost their first child — a son named Samuel Norbert Avery — to osteogenesis imperfecta on Grey's Anatomy Season 11 Episode 11, “All I Could Do Was Cry.” Sadly, they never learned how to be there for each other while grieving him, and his loss is essentially the catalyst for their divorce.
Rhimes later justified the decision of killing Mark instead of letting him go in a different way by saying she “had to do what was right for the integrity of the character”, and this way Lexi and Mark “get to be together, in a way”.
After it became clear that Mark wasn't going to be able to move the debris off Lexie and save her, he sat with her as she passed away, the bottom half of her body crushed by the plane.
It wasn't the only time Grey's Anatomy hid a pregnancy. During Season 5 Chyler Leigh was pregnant. Since it wouldn't be right for her character Lexie Grey, the writers and directors managed to hide it through baggy scrubs and coats.
