Each time you read an āyah, Allah responds to you. Though you may be a weak, sinful and broken slave, Allah (ʿazza wa jall) listens to you! Not only does He listen, but He responds.
Through the scriptures, we are taught that God will always hear our prayers and will answer them if we address Him with faith and real intent. In our hearts we will feel the confirmation that He does hear us, a feeling of peace and calm. We can also feel that everything will be fine when we follow the Father's will.
Try to relax in your prayer and forget everything that could bother you in life. And remember, you're with Allah now and He deserves your full attention. Maintain good manners. Never lie or steal, be nice to the people around you, be gracious towards your parents, keep your promises, always forgive and be nice.
These include: firm belief (īmān), knowledge of Allah (maʿrifah), sincerity (ikhlāṣ), piety and mindfulness (taqwā), trust in Allah (tawakkul), hope (rajā'), fear (khawf), gratitude (shukr), patience (ṣabr), love (ḥubb), yearning for Allah (shawq) and certainty (yaqīn).
As you talk to Him, He responds to you. Being mindful of this will increase your khushūʿ in ṣalāh. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Indeed, when one of you stands to pray, he stands up and privately converses with his Lord. Therefore, he should be careful in how he converses with Him” (Ḥākim).
How Can I Ask with Allah's Names? Ask Allah (ʿazza wa jall) with His Greatest Names. Similarly, relevant Names can be called upon for specific requests. For example, 'Yā Tawwāb (O Acceptor of repentance), accept my repentance.
Dua, according to a Hadith, has the unique ability to change destiny (Tirmidhi). All the Prophets (peace be upon them), as we find in Qur'an, resorted to supplications as their ultimate 'weapon' to solicit Allah's help when all their efforts would fail while reforming nations in their respeoctive hostile environments.
The simple answer is yes, God hears your prayers. An ever-present, all-knowing God will hear every word from your mouth, thought in your mind and whisper of your heart.
“And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirun (the patient). Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.”
In the Qur'an, all these beings that bear witness are designated as “signs,” meaning “tested evidence, absolute knowledge and expression of truth.” Therefore, the signs of God comprise all the beings in the universe in that they disclose and communicate the being and attributes of God.
Truly, Allâh loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves (by taking a bath and cleaning and washing thoroughly their private parts, bodies, for their prayers).
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “No person suffers any anxiety or grief and says this supplication, but Allah will take away his sorrow and grief, and give him in their stead joy. Having said that, however, Muslims are not immune to the feeling of grief or depression.
Prophet (s) said, “They are so light on the tongue,” you don't need to prepare. Say, “SubhaanAllah wa bi-hamdihi,” or in another Hadith, “SubhaanAllah wa bi-hamdihi, subhaanAllahi 'l-`Azheem.” Praise be to Allah, The One Who provides everyone with His favors.
There are three components of gratitude: (1) Thanking Allah by humbling our hearts to Him. (2) Thanking Allah by acknowledging His favours and praising Him with our tongues. (3) Thanking Allah by using all of our body parts to obey Him.
Allah doesn't punish us for having bad thoughts, but rewards us for not acting upon them.
Sin is an important concept in Islamic ethics that Muslims view as being anything that goes against the commands of Allah (God) or breaching the laws and norms laid down by religion. Islam teaches that sin is an act and not a state of being.
1) It means that Allah is there within him, between his being and his heart. He is closer to the essence of the human being than the human being himself. In another verse Allah describes the intensity of this closeness – We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (Q50:16).
"What if Allah loves the heart you broke? You can not know... If you knew, you would be terrified, you wouldn't dare to touch that heart!"
O Prophet, say to the prisoners in your hands, “If Allah knows any goodness in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and will forgive you. Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful.”
Follow up your misdeed immediately with regret and remorse towards Allah. Repent sincerely by verbalizing 'astaghfirullah,' which means, “I seek forgiveness from Allah.” Resolve to never commit the sin again.
