She agrees to aid Vader in finding the truth about what happened, and together they fight off the attacking lifeforms before leaving for
However, the animated series and comics are now revealing that the Sith Lord showed what Padmé meant to him even after his transformation. Considering his position as a servant of Emperor Palpatine, it can be assumed that Vader eventually moved past his feelings.
Then, Vader also opened the Doors of the Dark Side and entered. Once inside the spiritual realm, Vader went through various trials, but eventually, he found Padmé.
Padme's death is the moment that solidifies Darth Vader's fall to the Dark Side, and expanded Star Wars media has often shown him mourning her when not serving The Empire.
As he kills one soldier, he says "for Padmé!" to which the dying man tells him "for Anakin." Once they clear out the attack, Darth and his troops end up at the Queen Padmé Amidala's tomb. As Darth Vader takes it all in, Sabé and her handmaidens show up ready to fight.
Jocasta worked in the Jedi Archives for decades, and Sidious believes that her precious knowledge will prove useful. A security robot in the Archives identifies Darth Vader as Anakin Skywalker within earshot of Jocasta, and she is shocked.
Darth Vader didn't learn he had a daughter until Return of the Jedi, when he stood before Emperor Palpatine. The Emperor's power probed Luke's mind, attempting to goad him to fall to the dark side, and he discovered Leia's existence. "Sister," the Emperor taunted.
and Learned that Padme had died, he screamed in anguish. and crushed all of the medical droids around him. Vader targeted Palpatine next, unleashing his rage upon his new master, sending him flying backwards into the wall.
At some point after his transformation into the armored Darth Vader, Amidala's husband, the fallen Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker came to visit the mausoleum, stricken by grief and remorse for his part in her death.
Yes, his entire character since then was a self loathing tragic monster who has little reason to care about anything. Betraying Mace Windu instantly made him regret his act of impulse, Padme's death and rejection of his actions later on made it stick.
In the main Star Wars timeline, of course, Darth Vader's attempts to resurrect Padmé on Mustafar were doomed to failure. But it's fascinating to speculate what would have happened had he been successful. In that scenario, Padmé Amidala's return from the dead would not have provided the solace Darth Vader sought.
Yes. In Vader comics 2017 Vader works with an old republic era sith who uses sith alchemy to create Vader's fortress. The fortress is designed to channel the dark side nexus of Mustafar in order to create a doorway into the netherworld of the force. Vader planned to use this to bring Padme back.
Vader was told by Palpatine a man he trusted more then Obi Wan, that he in his anger had killed Padme and Vader just accepted it as truth, that is what broke Anakin completely thinking he killed or could not save those he loved.
What he did not see, at the time at least, was that Padmé used her last breaths to tell Obi-Wan that she was certain that in regards to her husband, "there's still good in him." Now, those words are set to be revealed to someone other than Darth Vader himself.
It's not shown, but it is clearly insinuated that Anakin killed the younglings. This is confirmed later in the movie when Obi-Wan informs Padme that Anakin killed them. Both are torn apart with hurt and confusion, trying to make sense of something so terrible. How could Anakin do such a thing?
Darth Vader was aware that Padmé Amidala died. That's because Palpatine told him what happened to Padmé after he saved Anakin on Mustafar. In fact, there was a big funeral held for Padmé on Naboo. But Vader didn't know that Padmé died of a broken heart as he thought she died by his hand.

Honestly, I just couldn't figure out who she was or why she was even in the funeral procession. This also means that for the longest time I forgot I could just look up the credits of the film. Long story short, she is Padmé's niece, Pooja Naberrie, and was portrayed by Hayley Mooy.
Overview. After her death in childbirth on Polis Massa, Amidala's body was returned to Naboo for the proper funeral rites. In order to hide the fact that Amidala's twins survived, her body was prepared to still appear pregnant. Her maternal grandmother, Ryoo Thule, oversaw Amidala's funeral, as per Naboo custom.
Padmé died shortly after giving birth to Luke and Leia, swearing with her last words that there was still good in Anakin Skywalker. The twins were split up, with Luke going to Tatooine with Obi-Wan while Bail took Leia to Alderaan. Later, the children born on humble Polis Massa would change the fate of the galaxy.
He still believed Palpatine was telling the truth when he said he would help save Padme. So, from Vader's distorted point of view, Palpatine had done nothing wrong and was the only person left by his side. And rather than lose everyone in his life, he figured he might as well commit to his life as a Sith.
Even with his mistakes, Anakin would have left everything to be with Padmé if he knew she was still alive. By having Palpatine lie to him about how Padmé died, it's easier for audiences to buy into Anakin fully succumbing to Palpatine and the Dark Side.
Originally Answered: After Padme died why did Anakin choose to stay on the dark side? The only reason why Anakin joined the dark side in the first place was to save Padme from dying during her pregnancy. He had no choice after the events of Episode III. He had lost his wife and his friends/comrades in the Jedi Order.
In Death Star, it seems the Sith Lord could have discovered Leia's true identity if he'd pursued his hunch. However, Leia's strong-mindedness during Vader's probe denied him the opportunity to discover she was his daughter.
Then Luke got some training, got stronger with the force. After that, Vader sensed him. Leia hadn't been trained. Leia therefore was not strong with the force and wasn't sensed by Vader.
