No, deleting a Netflix profile only deletes that particular profile's preferences and settings.
The main profile on your Netflix account cannot be deleted. Once you delete a profile, the viewing history and game saves for that profile will no longer be available. If you can't edit a profile from your device, visit Netflix.com on a web browser and follow the steps above.
Signing out of all devices will remove all devices connected to your account. You will need to sign in again with your new password on any devices you wish to use. See How to keep your account secure for more steps you can take to secure your account.
Go to Netflix.com and log in. Click on one of the profiles listed so that you can access the settings menu. Hover over your profile image (or the green icon if you haven't set a profile picture) and click on “Your Account” from the dropdown menu. Once open, select “Sign out of all devices” under the “Settings” section.
Click on your profile in the top right corner of your screen. Go to Account. From the Security & Privacy section, select Manage access and devices. Netflix will show you a list of every connected device.
Click on your profile icon located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Select "Account." Scroll down to "Security and Privacy" > "Manage access and devices." Here, you will find a list of the most recent devices that have been used to access your account.
Then, navigate to your account and press the “Cancel Membership” button. You'll see a confirmation screen, just click “Finish Cancellation” and there you go. Your membership has been cancelled. If you want to leave it there, your account will be deleted in 10 months.
If you don't want to manually delete your Netflix account, you can choose to cancel your Netflix membership and wait 10 months for the account to eventually get deleted. To cancel your Netflix subscription, navigate to Account -> Cancel Membership -> Finish Cancellation.
You can't delete your primary profile as it is associated with the owner of the Netflix account. It's the same profile you get while creating your account. The only way to delete this profile is to delete your account.
If you have more than one Netflix-compatible device, you can switch devices at any time. Your membership plan determines the number of screens you can watch at the same time, but it does not restrict the number of devices you can associate with your account.
Open Netflix on your TV or streaming device and highlight the profile you want to manage. Move down to select the Edit icon beneath it. On the next page, select the Delete Profile button from the bottom. That's it!
To sign out of your Netflix account on all devices remotely, go to Netflix.com or open the mobile app. Then, click your profile icon in the top-right corner. Next, click Account. Then, click Sign Out of All Devices.
We want to help keep your account secure, so we email you whenever there is a new sign-in to your Netflix account from a new device.
Netflix may also ask you to verify a device by entering a four-digit verification code sent to the account holder. Suffice to say that if you're sharing someone else's Netflix account, Netflix can likely detect it.
The company says it will use information such as IP addresses, device IDs, and account activity to determine whether a device is part of a household, and insists that it will not collect GPS data from users.
Too many users
You may get an error saying “Too many people are using your account right now” or “Your Netflix account is in use on too many devices.” To get back to streaming, you will either need to wait until the other people are done streaming, or you can ask them to turn it off.
Netflix says an account can only be used by members of one physical household, sharing one internet connection. Additional members logging from elsewhere can be added for $7.99 a month. The restrictions appear to only apply to televisions and not mobile devices for now.
Pay for Premium and there can be four devices of any kind watching Netflix at the exact same time. However, those users and devices cannot be permanently in another household.
What are the new rules? Netflix will only let people share an account if they live in the same household — or pay an extra fee. It'll ask people using someone else's account to get a new account of their own or stay on as a paid "extra member".
A Netflix account is for use by one household. Everyone living in that household can use Netflix wherever they are — at home, on the go, on holiday — and take advantage of new features like Transfer Profile and Manage Access and Devices.
